A journey worth sharing

Yeah. I would prefer youngsters involved into administration. Because there are many old people eating my head. It is the One of the best places of education ,rather one of the most disciplined places for an engineering student to survive(No engineering student loves discipline). I feel privileged to having secured a seat here because I denied an NIT seat to join here. its worth i guess

I was given admission through my +2 mark and mains mark combined together in the all India stream where i secured 124th rank. And I love mechanical engineering because I am a hard guy both mentally and physically. Thought I am gonna rock. so i have chosen. here was no interview but passing all those exams were far more hell than facing a 100 interviews.

My course is the best in this college which stands as an added reason for me to choose it here in this university.The focus is entirely on practical learning and we almost can spend our entire day in our research labs with any professor we wish. There are some thousands of research initiatives taken by the university. We can have a glance at it in the Sastra official website. Electives like advanced fluid mechanics,welding technology are indeed great learning areas for student from mech dept.

I prefer personal interns. College provides foreign interns. That I would prefer in my 7th sem.

Average package was around 5.5 lpa.More than 90% get placed every year.Placement is pretty good.Almost all the major companies visit.But they require highly efficient people so the intake of major companies is limited like anywhere else.But comparitively other comapnies like TCS take about 700 students a year.

I am a part of Sastra music team.So i love whatever is related to it.And we almost win in every contest we take part.

Fee is probably the best in this university.No other university would provide such an esteemed education for such a fee structure.Sem fee-56,000.Alltogether we can come out of engineering with an amount of 7 lakh or less spent on it unless we spend much of our time at the canteen!

Every year students with 90% attendance and reasonable grades whose parents have an income of less than 1 lpa get scholarships and the college provides scholarships based on cgpa. The top 2 percentile receives 25% fee remittance.And the top 10 percentile receives 10% fee remittance.

Obviously...This is place where we can get our talent bursted out....I promise...one can bring the best in him.

I reside in the hostel.We have all kinds of rooms.The university's aim is to make children adapt to normal living conditions. So there are no AC's. But they are not the best. But we can live.

We always have. They share everything with us. their past pleasures. experiences. and all. Great to have alumni meets at our college.

Nope.My labs are probably the best.We have fun with faculty after we complete our work.And learn more than what is required.(not everyday but most of the days we do..)

There are different categories for faculty.Everyone has very good qualification.And professors who have done their doctorate on their area of teaching are given more priority compared to others.
