Remarks

The campus life of the college is fabulous. The only issue is the difference made between CSE and ECE branch students. The campus is very small. The overall experience is mediocre in terms of studies and faculties and great in terms of activities and social life.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for JEE Mains after 12th std. The reasons why I landed up here: Firstly, the college directly takes the JEE mains score, so there are no other Interviews or separate exams. Secondly, the college has a very good reputation in private engineering colleges. Thirdly, I wanted to stay in North India and the college is located on a very prime location. I chose Electronics and Communications Engineering(ECE) as my course. From 10 onwards I was always interested in Robotics. The opted course provided me with the relation of Robotics to today's IOT world. So it the best choice to make.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The ECE branch is pretty good here. All facilities are provided like Matlabs, Multimedia labs, VLSI labs. Almost every subject in my branch has a corresponding Practical Labs so I think proper focus is given on Practical Learning. The research initiatives till now for B.Tech students are almost zero, but for MTech n PHD students there is still scope. The Institute is saying to start an incubator cell for startups and research basis. The elective options available here are: B Tech( CSE, ECE, IT, BioTech, Integrated CSE, Integrated ECE, Integrated BioTech.

Internships Opportunities

The college never provides internships to ECE students. The chances of getting internships in college are only through college professors on personal basis. Whereas many internships opportunities are there for CSE students with stipend ranging from 15,000 to 60,000.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is quite good. The Training and Placement cell is well organised and functional. Major companies are Amazon, Deloitte, E&Y, Ericsson, Infosys, Wipro, Adobe. The issue in placement is that are alot many options for CSE and IT branch students. Previous year there was 26:2 ratio in CSE:ECE when we talk only about the core companies that came to talk placements, yet almost everyone had one job letter, whether it was on campus or off campus. The average Package ranges from 5-6 lakhs.

College Events

5

The whole year some or the other event keeps on going in the college. Various technical events like Cyber Srishti, IC3, ICSE, Manual Robotics Event, Google Developers are organised. Cultural Fest- IMPRESSIONS is a 2 day techno-cultural festival. It has an average footfall of 9-10k students. Other famous events- JMUN(best MUN in Delhi Ncr), Unplugged(Music Festival), Joust(Literary event), Aura(Photo exhibition), Dandiya Night, Fun Sports Meet. The events are pretty well organised. The college authorites do take part but only in international conferences or technical events. They are generally not in much favour of cultural events but some how or the other they still agree.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure of the institute as compared to other private colleges is much affordable. Per year fee structure: Development fees: 60,000 Tuition fees: 1,30,000 Hostel fees+Food: 1,10,000

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college does not provide any scholarships. College has a tie up with few banks like HDFC, ICICI which easily provides the educational loan.

Campus Life

5

The facilities for the extracurriculars is very less. The area to play is very less. Although every sport is there but there is no proper complexes for it. There is not much time left after daily classes to explore the inner talents.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are just amazing here. It is best thing about the campus. The 20 storey hostel for boys is fabulous. The rooms are spacious, clean, proper furniture with double sharing rooms. Ac is also provided with wifi connection. Plus point is that the hostels are within the campus and not too far. There are PGs within campus but lot many flats and PGs are available near campus. The food quality has deteriorated alot. Its very difficult to have mess food but thanks to the Winston Street as many good restaurants are there. The mess and hostel rooms fees are combined so it necessary to opt for Food with Hostels. Hostel+Food fees per annum is 1,10,000.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a Alumni body that keeps the current students connected with their pass out seniors through various social media. Alumni of our college have been very helpful and even some of them are now recruiting students from our college. Alumni keep connecting the current batches telling them about the current working scenario of office lives.

Exam Structure

The exam pattern is very hectic in the institute. There are in total 3 exams T1,T2 comprising of 20 marks each and T3 comprising of 35 marks, rest 25 marks belongs to the Internal Assessment done by the teachers. In a single semester , it feels like every next month we are giving some or the other exam, viva or lab practicals. The chill nature also persists just because the course in 20 marks paper is very less and we can easily study it within a day or two.

Faculty

4

The ECE faculties are highly qualifed but there way of teaching is not very good whereas in CSE, IT the faculties are qualified as well as good in interacting. The standard of teaching of the core ECE subjects is little low as compared to CSE and IT branches.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
