Entrance Preview

I took the CET and had got an average ranking and took this college in second round of counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

I course curriculum was that of VTU syllabus and had varied levels and topics covered under it. Had general subjects in first year and stream specifics later.

Internships Opportunities

We did not have any internship offers . Neither did we have the time for it as VTU does not have long semester breaks of 3 or more months. So the question of Internship and Stipend doesnot arise.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty decent. Do not expect top most companies visiting the campus as it is a Tier 2 college. But the placement cell is doing a decent job in getting mass recruiters.

College Events

College has an annual inter-college fest Inter-Act with multiple colleges participating in it. Department wise fests and events are yet to come up and have visibility.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know of any scholarship for general merit candidates. But scholarships from other organisations for reserved castes may be availed.

Campus Life

Campus life is great with like minded people. Labs are great. The sports ground is big but no such encouragement is provided for sports as such. College is also host for several university level matches.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is standard VTU structure. 3 internals and one exam. Internal Assessments are calculated for 25 and usually best of 3 is taken for the calculations.

the curriculum is practical up to date and the assignments are project based that encourages better understanding. the assignments are also real world based that require ,the students, to undestand the subjects better. there are 3 internal test with lab tests include that test the student's knowledge in the subject

the eligibily might be from 3rd year. There are several companies such as capegemini hitachi patym dmart. 700 offers are offered. Highest is 25 lakh and average is around like 5 lakh. After the completion of my degree i would like to persue higher studies like MS.

Placement Experience:

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus selection. A lot of companies visit like Bosch, Amazon, Flipkart, aequs, and many more. Around 40% of students get placements in the visited companies. My plan is to start a business by own.

My views on GAT

As my comedk rank was around 25k and most colleges in this area were under VTU I wanted an autonomous college and GAT was the one If you wanna get into the CSE branch a comedk rank between 20-35k would do Our college accepts CET AND COMEDK I got ISE at SJBIT and CSE at DBIT and I still chose this over those colleges as GAT is autonomous...Read More
