A journey worth sharing

Studying in Sathyabama University is a life time experience for me. It gives me knowledge and wisdom. Friends that I got from Sathyabama University are most valuable in my life. The only thing that I feel bad in our college is strict rules. I feel that rules could be a bit lenient. The college made me explore the real outside world. Faculty members are very friendly and supportive.

I wrote All India entrance exam conducted by Sathyabama University. Offline and online mode of exam was available. I wrote offline mode exam held at Sathyabama University. My parents concluded that Sathyabama University is the best place with good rules and regulations. Moreover it has good transportation facilities which made me and my parents to select sathyabama university. There was no interview during admission. I chose cse because of my interest towards programming.

The course that I chose was cse. The course curriculum is well designed which makes the learning process easier. They give a lot of importance to practical learning. We have weekly two practical classes and with my own interest I spend time learning all the concepts practically. College also provide elective options but only during pre-final and final year.

There is no internship provided from our college. But is mandatory for all the students to attend at least one internship before pre final year. The internship experience was nice and useful. There was no stipend given for the internship

Placements are good in our college but unfortunately placement percentage got declined during last year. Students are getting placed from both product and service based companies. Many of us prefer to be placed in product based company but it is difficult to get placed in it.Average salary is 3-4 lakhs per annum.

Sathyabama University always organised some or other events. It is always enjoyable being a part of such events. Workshops by experienced industry people is being organised in our college.

The fees are affordable.They charge fee less than other deemed universities but when compared with fee of other Anna university affiliated colleges our college fee is high. I pay 1,85,000 rupees per year. Hostel fee is 60,000 rupees. The transportation and food that is breakfast and lunch are free for day scholar.

Sathyabama University offers scholarship to lot of students. I don't avail any scholarship but some of my friends do. Remibai Jeppiar Scholarship is provided for rank holders in entrance exams and semester exams. Our college also provides full scholarship to underprivileged students and physically challenged students.

I am residing in hostel only. No single rooms are available. Each room is shared by 5-6 students. The rooms are comfortable. The hostel food is not as good as college food. The procedure to get permission to go for outing is lengthy and annoying. Hostel fee is 60,000 rupees.

As every student does I too hate exams. In our college for every semester we have two continuous assessment, model practical exams, university practical exams and finally semester exams. Exams are tiresome process but no other go being engineering students we all have to face it.

Faculty members are highly qualified and experienced.They are very interactive and they share many interesting facts and ideas with us. They help us in understanding the concepts in easy way. Staffs encourage us to participate in events and workshops.
