Great Experience here

Overall my experience at MITS has been great. It has been a platform where I got to explore my talents.

I chose BCA because I was always good in computers and I liked it too. I got to know about the college via a relative who works for the University to which this college is affiliated to. There was no entrance exam nor was there any sort of interview held.

Some of the courses were lacking behind because of the University's course structure but from the next batch, the course structure has been changed and updated. Practical learning is always given importance here at mits. We even take extra classes for practicals.

There isn't any sort of internship provided here. But there is a scope to explore your qualities by participating in events.

Some of the major companies that visit the campus are TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, Cognizant. More than 80% students got placed. The average package is around 1.5lakh per anum.

The biggest event held at MITS is the annual function, in which all the departments including our BCA department participates. The annual function is like a ceremony at MITS and all faculty and students work together to make it happen. Apart from the annual function, the freshers and the farewells are regular events. Then we also have seminars on certain technology and also well known personalities are occasionally invited to take seminars.

The college gives enough scope to explore your talents. I have made quite a few banners for our college functions. Others have taken seminars on small subjects.

My hostel buddies share room. The food is good. The food served is made by an individual team that also serves other colleges.

We haven't interact with the alumni much. Except our immediate seniors who've recently passed out.

The faculty are well qualified. All of them have done their masters as well as other courses. They are pretty interactive and always helpful. They are dedicated to teaching and make you understand the subject matter.
