Remarks
Overall the college is good and gives a very good learning experience. A great platform to show your talents and to explore new things. The college has got a very good infrastructure and authority. As a fresher I got a very warm welcome into my college in the first day. The college has got wide range of opportunities and provides various platforms for students to expose their talents. The college is in collaboration with many companies and many workshops are continuously held for the development of student. The college has got a pretty much smaller campus which may be its minus point. Overall the college is a great center for learning.
Entrance Preview
I had written KCET entrance exam, with a rank of 664. I got entry into the college through the seat allowed by KEA. there was no interview process followed for the admission. I am currently studying electronics and communication engineering in BMS College of engineering, and I have a great fascination towards electrical circuits and connections which made me take up this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was last updated in the year 2014 , the syllabus is good and has got many of the necessary topics included in it. The college conducts practical sessions once a week, but we have not got enough stress on practical learning. The college is conducting some research initiatives and any student who has got interest and good at that topic can join the research work.
Internships Opportunities
College provides a wide range of opportunities and a very good platform for internships. College provides internship opportunities from the first year of joining the course.
Placement Experience
College has got a very good placement record. Many major companies like Sony, L&T, etc. Continuously visit the college for placements.
College Events
Our college organises the most popular and the biggest fest in Bangalore the 'BMS utsav'. The fest will be very well organized and attracts a lot of people from Bangalore.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is an aided one, and hence the fee structure is pretty low. I was charged rs. 28000 as the over all fee per year by the college.
Hostel Facilities
College Hostel is very good and the rooms are on sharing, where 2 people are given one room. The hostel has got a very good facilities and a healthy environment.
Exam Structure
Well The exams and the labs were not such a burden. We have got 3 labs in a week of different subjects and their is nothing like pressure on the students. The exams and labs are just a chill culture.
Faculty
Most of the faculty are PhD holders and have a very good experience. The Faculty people are very well versed in their respective subjects. The classes will be pretty much interactive, and the faculty are always open for any kind of discussion related to academics. Overall teaching of the college is good.
