Experience of college life

the college is just NAAC & NBA accredited. ISO CERTIFIED. so its just a beginning towards a determined progress. so evryone will be benefited. The college infrastructure should improve especially the parking facility and the ground maintenance. labs should also be maintained well. placements are at its best smiles, friends happiness, and the faculty its been a great journey so far

I got my kcet ranking of 30 thousands. and comedk ranking of 22 thousands so as i got comparatively good rank in comedk i got my seat to MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT in the year 2015. so based on the counselling rounds organised by the state educational organisation i got my seat into cambridge institute of technology in the 2nd round. once i got the seat from the board i had visited the college for taking a look at the college. the academic progress, placements infrastructure etc..then i met the admission incharge to know more about the college and to know about the faculty and their experience in the educational field. so he spoke and gave the number of btech mtech and phd holders in mechanical deaprtemt. i choose mechanical brach because my parents forced me to but as time passed by i started loving the branch because of THE FACULTIES...

the course is just amazing the faculty support and their teaching experience made my worst days to work better and cope up with my friends. so choosing mechanical was the wisest decision made by me. and the subjects are not too tough so its easy to score marks. practical learning is quite missing in the education system here . only when we visit the lab we get some ideas about the practical knowledge. so that is quiet interesting and acceptable. and try teachers try to give as much as practical knowledge wherever possible by giving live examples and relating it to the present day to day life. Mr. Elangovan is the dean for our research and development team. he is a faculty at mechanical department. he has BEEN AWARDED THE YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD BY THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT. and the students are guided by various other faculties. the students develop and try researching on the latest technologies and the other available resources. the students are also very enthusiastic to learn new stuff every moment so they are too spontaneous .electives are chosen by the department so we dont get an opportunity to choose our electives. but if we find something better than the ones elected by the department the department helps us to find the problems and then they would discuss with the faculties hod etc and take the wise decision and help us in choosing the bright career options.

the college has nothing to do with much of the internship. we are told to do internships but there is not much support from the department.but the hrd gives us a lending hand to take up internships as they have contacts. but not to all only those who wish and are capable. i didnt attend any internships because i couldnt give time towards it so i am not sure about the stipend.

Provides placements in highly reputed companies, offering an average salary of 5.5 LPA MoU with IT companies of high repute like EMC2, Infosys, Microsoft and Oracle for conducting in-house training programs. we have training programes every week they help us improving our soft skills, communication, body language, technical skills , aptitude, and strength in and team working etc . They put efforts to make every student of their institution employable and industry ready. 70 - 90 percentage of students get placed. note of all those eligible to take up placements. still for those not eligible the hrd still helps them one way or another for them to find a job. The annual fest called CHIGURU will crave your cultural needs. this is our one such fest for management cultural n technical fest. the college fest authority try to give the best talents their chance to take part in all possible ways. the college authorities try to give us all possible facilities and help us in shining like a star..

the fee structure varies from 90 thousand to 1.5 lakhs. this depends on the type of seat they have got. management & comedk- this is the highest fee structure . 1.5 lakhs per annum kcet - here the fee is approximately 90thousand rupees. and this is affordable by most of the students as this is refered and is the best educational institution in the surrounding locality.

the college gives enough guidance for us to take the scholarship. they help us by giving the college fee structure so we can provide to the bank and opt for the loan.and scholarship regular circulars are sent to classes and sent to students so they can apply for scholarships

the college has shown intrest in all possible extra curriculars. like sports , entertainment, movie fields etc. they stand as our support and help us to achieve our dreams and goals . the sports is at its best now, we have all facilities required for the specified purpose. grounds seminar halls, authorities.

we have a special programme comvergenta meaning for people to take part in this. and we have a special facility to use mail id and get in touch with the seniors. and then they are very helpful for us they share their valuable feedbacks so we can get in touch and get to know about the real life scenarios etc.

the exams are conducted every month. 3 internals and 1 externalthe internals are very strict. but at the end of the semester we obtain that min average marks we need. but for that we will have to write up assignments. so atleast then students would learn something new. these are never felt like burden because by the end of the semester ITS THE MARKS THAT MATTERS TO US..! ONE RANK HOLDER AND MANY BACKLOG AND MANY REVALUATION ASPIRANTS...

the faculties are highly qualified. they have a min degree as their btech. and many faculties have mtech degrees too. and many faculties have their phd degrees and some pursuing it too. they are like down to earth persons but wen we commit a mistake they are strict than our parents... they take care of us like their own children. they are too interactive inside and outside the class too. they are more like friends to us than faculties. FRIENDS SAYS HOW INTERACTIVE THEY ARE the faculties try relating most of the topics to the everyday examples.. but often they focus only on completing the syllabus. they feel they dont have time for thinking out of box. their teaching is at its best now they can improve too. because our faculties feel no one is perfect. all can improve at one point of another. and there are many better outside too... most of the teachers are here from the start of the college like say from 10 years. so they know the system and they have seen various set of students so they can take time and teach students according to the students mindset.
