The faculty and sports activities in the college
The fest in the college are most liked they give the feel of DU

Most disliked thing is no AC in classroom or common rooms
Canteen is not that great, food of canteen is okay
Water cooler are not providing cold drinking water all the time

I choose Tourism management because this is a highly growing industry nowadays Everyone is going to travel sooner or later Which opens many opportunities The student ratio was normal during the course It was like 60:40 boys: girls The faculty was great here As there is no other du college providing tourism course The faculty was totally professional and best in a particular field

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of the course, when I checked before admission, was 10,150rs for 1 year I was quite appreciated at that time because many courses have high fees But at the time of the second-year fees submission We saw a hike of 1k per year in fees Which was not appropriate But no choice we have to pay the fees I just completed my second year in the college For now, I didn't get any placement or internship from the college Waiting for the best to happen

Campus Life

The campus life is overall good We enjoy the campus vibes The ground is huge and clean Students enjoy playing volleyball cricket badminton football there The library is filled with all the categories of books Sports activities and competitions are there in the college on a regular basis

Admission

As I was from the 2021 batch I didn't have to give the cuet exam My admission was totally based on the merit system I filled out the online form from du official website Then cut off came At the time of 3rd cutoff, I saw my percentage is there in the College of vocational studies tourism management course I searched about it on Google and from other reviews I found the eligibility of the course The course was very famous, everyone was saying the tourism sector will grow rapidly after the COVID situation My family also thought this is a great opportunity and also I was getting admission to DU University This college is located in South Delhi nearby Malviya Nagar. Therefore I applied for that course After some days I got confirmation about my admission I was very happy I was allotted a fee code Before the allotted date, I submitted the fees and got my fee slip Which showed that my admission is done And I can now go to college on orientation After some days I got mail for the online orientations

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

they course curriculam is quite interesting as my course reatil management and it is a very new course it is very mordern in terms of subjects subjects such as e commerce, reatil display, cargo, etc the couse helps in understanding retail with mordern ways.

Placement Experience:

From the second year people are eligible for internships and placements. Our course and college offers very well placements as compared to other colleges in terms of the industry exposure. My plan is to do the 4- year course and then do a job for 1-2 years then start my own business while pursuing masters degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

I to be honest don't like my course much but it's not too bad also , it does allow you to have a practical exposure along side your studies. As the pressure of syllabus is not much. Teaching methods are not too good also but not bad too. The difficulty level is not much.

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered in my college from top companies such as accenture, godrej, etc. Placements range from 6-9 lpa on average. Highest package is around 12 lacs but i am not sure. My plans after this degree are doing masters from a good university or working for 2 years.

Consequences after getting admitted in DU

I gave the CUET exams to get my college. CUET exam is basically an entrance test for bachelors degree which eligibles you to all the central universities of India. You have to appear for four domain subjects that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. You can apply for any course irrespective of it's connection with the subjects that you jave studied earlier. Based on your cuet score you will be eligible for different courses. The cutoff is really high for Delhi University starting from 600 for more most of the courses starting from the lower reputed colleges. You do get reservation benefits. The application form are generally out in the month of April. The exam has nothing to do with your class 12th percentage until you have passed the class. The only demerit I find is the late admission process. By the time you get the results of the exam, other top colleges' admission are done by then....Read More
