Remarks

Remarks for the college would be good. There is nothing else that I would want to highlight as I became a part of this college this august.

Entrance Preview

Admission is strictly based on merit. Admission is provided solely based on class 12 's board marks. More the marks more the chances of admission. I did land on this college as it is one of the best college for commerce in West Bengal. There is no interview process for admission. The course I am doing right now is BCOM (ACCT HONS) what made me choose the corse is C.A. which is the main objective of my learning career.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I chose is good comparatively quite easier than C.A. Focus on practical learning is very less. Research Initiatives taken by the institute is nil. Elective option for this course would be it's pass course generally.

Internships Opportunities

The college does not provide an internship. The experience of internship is not known to me.

Placement Experience

No idea as I would pass college in 2020. The percentage of students got placed is not known to me.

College Events

Cultural Fests are held once a year and they are average. Fests other than Cultural Fests are not known to me.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very less as it is a government college it is easily affordable. Admission fees for BCOM (ACCT HONS) was ₹2520 and the semester fess would be less than ₹250 per semester.

The college does provide scholarship.

Campus Life

In the name of extracurricular we have the facilities like gym and games room only.

Hostel Facilities

I am staying in a PG right now and it is costly. There is no single room available any where all the rooms are sharing. Minimum monthly charges of PG here is ₹5000 per month and the standard PGs charge ₹10000 per month. I am paying ₹8000 per month. The food is moderate but nothing compared to home made food.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with the alumni was short but nice.

Exam Structure

Exam were chill as of now.

Faculty

Faculty is highly qualified and well experienced in teaching the courses. They are very interactive and the standard of teaching is up to the mark.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though.
