Likes

Student friendly campus with a neet and clean canteen
Student job cell is there and also there is women cell
Students are provided with facility of rest rooms, NCC and NSS students can get up to national levels

Dislikes

University delays the certificates of students.
No facility of recreation centre and much number of toilets
Library will not opened during Saturdays

Course Curriculum Overview

I love literature along with journalism. The faculties are excellent and student-friendly campus. Teachers are post-graduated and have Phd holders. Total 6 semesters and conduct exams in each sem. Students who have high scores in exams will be awarded from university.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 54000 per year

Placement Experience

From the first semester itself, students can apply for placements. Selection will be based on their performance in interviews. Every year students are placed in several well-known organisations. After my degree a will take MA in communicative English.

Fees and Financial Aid

Communicative English is a self-financing course. So students have to pay exam fees and semester fees each semester. For one semester it costs 9000 INR. Some basic scholarships are provided for students for their Excellency.

Campus Life

There are several programs conducted like college day, arts and sports day. Each department conduct programs. So many extracurricular activities are provided like caroms, chess, drawing, music NSS, NCC etc. So many clubs are there like nature club, sports club etc.

Admission

Criteria to get admission under MG University through online allotment. We can apply through management and sports quotas. 12 with the highest mark will get admitted. The application can be filled out online. No reservation. Allotment should be changed according to rankings.

The curriculum is suitable for the modern age of teaching,the way of education is well balanced with projects, assignments, presentations and also notes .we have reading assignments where the faculty members ask us to read an entire book and give our review on it.the exams are quiet moderate and in my opinion teachers should use more ai tools as a learning aid which will be more effective for the students

Great life from college

Placement Experience:

From the last semester pass out we a re eligible for the campus recruitment for job or placement. So many companies visit us for the interview or some checking like , hero honda , maruti suzuki etc. the main reason for it was a low amount of budget is that get from this placement maybe 15 thousand let month ect. Only the company can take the students for it so the percentage of the students who getting placement will change in every year. My plan was to get an admission in the central government University for doing master of degree in History. And try the best exam called upsc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many aspects of the curriculum that infulenced my decision to choose BA English Literature in St. Berchmans College. Their syllabus is far more challenging and interesting than what other colleges and universities offer in Kerala. The examinations and overall assessment of projects and grades are top-tier and is comparatively difficult to obtain. The course steadily provides good quality information and knowledge on English Litearture and readies the student to be more than qualified for further studies in English Literature or any related courses. The areas where they can improve in the course curriculum is through availing more optional courses such as various other language courses/philosophy related courses to be selected. Their teaching environment can also be improved by improving basic infrastructure in the classrooms such as airflow etc. They conduct their exams freequently and on time. The examinations are challenging but necessary for overall improvement in students
