My college experience

I would like the college to improve the classrooms and washrooms. Otherwise everything is above average.

I wrote JEE mains exam to get into my college. There was no interview involved. We were called to attend counseling which was done to distribute seats according to JEE ranks and after getting a seat our documents and credentials were verified.

The overall course curriculum was very relevant. The syllabi is of a certain length which can be completed in time usually. Practical learning was there but was taken a little lightly by the faculty. There was more focus on theory rather than practicals.

I haven't reached that stage where i have to indulge in an internship.

Placements started in 7th semester. Most students of computer science which is my stream were placed. The major company was infosys.

Cultural fest was called goonj. It was good for entertainment and was organised pretty well in my first year but wasn't so good in second year.

Fees was less than private colleges but it was still a good amount. First semester - ₹40,000 Second semester - ₹30,000 Third semester - ₹43,000 Fourth semester - ₹32,000 Fifth semester -₹46,000

There were options of state scholarships. I don't really have any idea about college scholarships.

Yes, there were many opportunities for the same. There were several committees created and students could give auditions to join them. There were all type of committees for dance, theater etc.

I was a day scholar as i was living very close to the college. It took me 20 minutes to reach the college. But i visited the hostels very frequently. One hostel room was shared by two people and the rooms were large enough for both people. Both have a different almirah and separate study table. The food in hostels was of average quality.

Yes, there were lectures conducted by the college in which they invited alumni for interaction.

No, they weren't very tiring. The timetable was very flexible. And some teachers were very understanding about the timings of the class.

The faculty is of a kind in which some teachers go out of their way for our benefit where as some don't really show much concern. Interactiveness of the teacher depends on what kind of subject they are teaching. But they are quite interactive where it is required.
