Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course based on my interest in Biology. I wanted to pursue research and hence went with microbiology. Faculties have an amazing knowledge of the subject. Many of them have years of experience in both teaching and research. Most of them are also PhD holders in They follow an autonomous curriculum that supports research. Exams were conducted on time. Students who attend the classes regularly and follow the instructions can succeed in the course. Exams are mostly based on class lessons.
Internships Opportunities
I was offered an internship at the college and I took it as it helped me with my research goals. I was trained to work in the laboratory with the latest equipment. I successfully submitted my thesis and was able to apply to Canada for my higher education!
Placement Experience
Campus placements are offered and PSG has a wide range of companies that come for hiring. We also had a special placement training course. The course is available from the second last semester. And the committee members would train students in every aspect of placement. There were candidates who got over 700000 packages based on their academic and placement performances. Reddy's Lab was one of the top most companies that visited the campus and gave two placements. About sixty per cent of the students got placed. Most of the students went to puruse higher education after the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees vary based on the type of admission. Scholarships are provided for merit-based candidates. Financial assistance and other scholarships are provided for meritorious candidates. There were no other campus stipends available.
Campus Life
The campus life is wonderful. There are no uniforms, and there were a lot of clubs. The library is huge and all the reference materials are available. These materials are useful throughout the course.
Admission
Admissions were based on Higher Secondary examination marks. It is mandatory to have taken biology in +2. There were two categories of admission: merit category and non-merit category. Course information is available on the website and eligible candidates would receive a call from the college for in-person counselling. Once you confirm your seat, you would be asked to pay the fees and the admission process is complete. They would give you the available options based on your marks and a short interview conducted by the members of the admission committee. The admission process is fairly simple and straightforward
