A Fun and Wonderful Awesome Experience in College

It is a good college as overall. The Buildings are not so great the facilities which we get are also not so good.

Well to get into the college i had to write a Common Entrance Test ( CET ) which was conducted by Karnataka State Board. Through this exam all the ranks were allotted and my college was assigned to us. There was no interview or anything but was admitted through CET cell when we had given our options of the Choices to join the college based on the ranks got by students. About he course i joined was i had done a bit research about the growing branches then i saw this branch which was very good. The Course name is Mechatronics Engineering.

The Course which i chose is very good. It has the combination of Mechanical, Electrical and Computers in my branch. We learn quite a lot of things that people from all the 3 branches learn. Our College doesn't give much importance for Practical learning as it follows VTU Syllabus so there is not much importance to practical way of learning. There is no research initiatives taken up for our department whereas for other departments there are research facilities. We have a wide range of electives for our department mainly into manufacturing/automation sectors.

The Placement in The Oxford College Of Engineering is not so great. The placements for students in my college is very less. The major Companies visit the college but wont pick the students much. The quality of students are not trained for doing the jobs.

There are nearly some fests conducted in campus. The Technical Fest is called Impluse

The Fees in my College is not heavily priced. It is actually cheap as compared to other colleges in Bangalore. For us the people who come from CET have Tution fees of Rs.47,910.00 and a extra Rs.6500.00 is charged for other co-currcular activities. Other than this fee there will be no Other charges .

I am not residing in the hostel. But yet i know a bit information about hostel too. The Rooms are sharing based not for single occupants. The Hostel Rooms are quiet big enough to accommodate 3 persons in a room. The Hostel Fees are about Rs.80,000/- per year which includes food too. The Food quality in hostel is not so great as i heard off.

The exams in college are held in college every month like the tests. The exams are held once in every 6 months. There will be 3 tests per semester each held every month. The labs are held every week for 3 hours a week and the exam of the labs are also held after 3 months.

The Faculty in our Department are quite fabulous. They are some amazing teachers i have met till date. The Faculty in our Department have very good experience in teaching field and they know how to be learnt . They are very much interactive than any other faculties in the college. They teach very well like they are excellent.
