"Beyond the Campus Gates: An Insider's College Review"

I choose this course because of my interest in the domain. The teacher is to student ratio is 1:75 for theory classes and 1:40 for labs. Here teachers are qualified most of them are PhD holders. Some are really good at teaching while few are not. Term exam is conducted 2 times a semester which is very easy to pass if you study a little.

I have completed my 2 semesters and entered 3rd semester. Till not done two internships one in Internshala as ISP (Internshala partner) and the other in career360 as a campus ambassador. The job role in Internshala was to promote their courses. The stipend offered was quite low. The highest stipend offered is 2k to 3k per month. The time period for an internship is 1-2 months.

In the 6th semester students start receiving the placement offers till the end of the 8th semester. More than 500 companies visit the campus though it is not possible to name all of them here are a few tech-Mahindra, Adobe, Orange, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, HCL, Siemens, Wipro, TCS, etc. The highest package offered is 35 lakhs by Adobe. The average package is about 5 lakhs. Most of the students got placed. The startup culture is Chitkara University is growing and is supported by the university. My current focus is to secure a good package.

The college fee is a bit high about 85k per semester + 20k erp fee (one time) a total of 7 lakh for the course. In just 1 year college fee is increased by a high %. Now the fee for per semester is 1 lakh so, 8,20,000 in total. No scholarships are provided at the university. Here are many changes to getting an internship in 2nd and 3rd years.

Annual fest - National Open Theatre fest named "Rangrej" is held in Sept-oct every year. Many technical fest and fairs are also conducted. Moreover, Dj nights are also scheduled from time to time. Here are plenty of books from reference to novels all types of books are available. Here indoor as well as outdoor sports hub is present. Which includes cricket, football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, table soccer, chess, carrom, arm wrestling, billiards, etc. A swimming pool is also available which is accessible only with a subscription. eSports are also conducted at the university. Communities and societies are there in which there is an audition process to get in few of them are famous which includes Chodchef, gdsc, etc.

A minimum of 60% in Class 12th or 60% aggregate in PCM is required. The application form is available on the website of the university with a 1200 application fee and deadlines are also available there. The link for the website is www.chitkara.edu.in. Here few seats are reserved for the Punjab domicile. Admission here is allotted on a first come first serve basis, which I think needs to be improved. Moreover, no scholarship is provided by the University.
