Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose the BALLB hons program because I wanted to pursue law and at the same time wanted to have diversity in career options. The faculty-student ratio is good as 15:1. We are assigned personal mentors, with whom can connect anytime and can seek help. Teachers are highly qualified as most of them are PHD and their teaching method is also very good except for the 1 or 2. Term exams are conducted timely and an average student can easily pass those exams. It's just that you have to be regular in your classes.

Internships Opportunities

4

In the first year itself, the teachers will inform you about different places or industries where one could apply for the internship. The college also helps in getting an internship. In my course, it will recommend you to various advocates of the high court.

Placement Experience

4.5

Last year students are eligible for sitting in the campus placement. Companies like byjus, Infosys, Microsoft and many others visit the campus for placement. The highest package was 25 lakhs last year and the average package is about 6 lakhs. About 75 per cent of the students get placed. I will go for the judiciary.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the course are on the higher side and every year it increases by 4000. But there are scholarships too for students who get above 8.5 CGPA. In the first year, if a student got more than 75 per cent in his or her senior secondary school, he/she will definitely get a scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Life on campus is really worth living. There are different clubs and societies formed in the college, one can join that. An annual fest named Amiphoria is held at a grand level. There is a vast library with almost books in every field. The classrooms are well air-conditioned with smart as well as whiteboard. Various sports competitions are also held on the campus. On women's Day this year, a cricket match between different universities was conducted at the university.

Hostel Facilities

5

The rooms are spacious with one bed, chair, table and almirah. There are 2 windows in every room for proper ventilation. The meals provided are better than in other hostels. The hostel registration is very easy, one can apply at the time of taking admission. The hostels are inbuilt on campus only, so don't have to travel.

Admission

Anyone who got 65% and + on the boards is eligible for applying in the course. All the details regarding the admission process can be easily taken from the official website of Amity University. Now the entrance exam is also there. But I got the admission on the basis of my clat scorers.

Placement Experience:

Students are given internship opportunities right from the first year. As I'm already on the verge of graduating in the next two months, I've seen the faculty and management put more attention to the Training and Placement Cell. Big companies like Deloitte, HCL and Austrian Migration Lawyers like Loch Corporate have taken interns from the law school at DME. This being said, I have high hopes from the Placements as well. I plan on working in the corporate and later this year appearing in Clat PG for the masters.

Pre-placement starts from the 4th year, and post-placement also happens as those who remain to get any placements are also assisted. Law jobs are always less so the percentage of students getting jobs is also quite low, as the batch size is 80+

Placement Experience:

Campus placements at the college are quite decent and provides students with a good platform to start their career students usually becomes eligible for placement in their final year but the college starts focusing on internship and skill development on early semester itself. This helps students gain practical exposure and build a strong cv before they sit for final placement. Usually hardworking and eligible students who focuses from the begining get placements through college after completing my degree my plan to gain practical experience by working in a corporate legal role or with a law firm to build strong skills and industry exposure the placement percentage at the college is moderate with a fair number of students getting placed each year
