The mechanical Engineering branch of RKGIT is best and I chose this branch because I have a future plan to apply for government engineering jobs. ME greatly suits the jobs in Railways and other government organizations. Most of the ME faculty are P.Hd and they are well qualified. The quality of teaching is good enough for the AKTU examination. Term examinations are well-packed and in fact, you will be giving exams every 2 months. If regular classes are attended and logical learning is done AKTU exams are easy to crack without any back.

Students get eligible for placement in 7 semesters but no good companies visit. The head of CRC is of a very rude nature and instead of providing better placement opportunities to the students they try to entangle them in registrations and often don't send the opportunity to the students that are well deserved. CRC is the only unit of the college that is worst managed because of the Head that leads it. Almost 60-70% of the students get placement. The average package is around 5LPA with 2.8LPA being the lowest and 11 LPA being the highest. After my degree, I waited for any good MNC but none gave me the opportunity so I went for off-campus placement in TCS.

According to my information, only government scholarships are mainly entertained. No financial assistance is given and there is no option for a stipend. The fees of the college are average in accordance with the AKTU colleges.

There are all types of Hostels available. Single, double, and triple share. AC rooms are only available for single and double occupancy. There are annual fest, sports competitions of the state level, and celebrity nights to enjoy. In college, they also celebrate Navratri, Janmashtami, Deepawali, and Holi. Some classes are Air conditioned and others are non-air-conditioned. Class sizes are good. Book Banks are provided according to the course. The library is filled with books and even a digital library option is also there. There are several dramatic, dance, and singing societies.

Three types of rooms: single-sharing (AC and Non AC), double sharing (AC and Non AC), and triple sharing. Water cooler and laundry service are also provided. Mess is compulsory to take with the hostel. Food quality is good. We get special food each Sunday. Registration for the hostel is done with the admission. Local PGs are not good if not opting for Hostel better take a flat in a nearby society.

There are two processes for admission to RKGIT: Through the AKTU entrance exam and Management Quota. The rank required in AKTU should be around 30k to get the college counseling for ME and CS branches. IT and CS are the best branch of the college. The cost of AKTU is around 1500/- Reservation Benefits are available to be availed. Scholarships are also offered by the government for reserved and handicapped students (a form is required to be filled out in the first year). The seats that are offered to the students having good ranks in the first counseling should not be offered to the students with high ranks in 3rd or 4th counseling. Due to this benefit of preparing and scoring in the exam decreases and students get demotivated. For Management Quota admission please visit the college and never contact brokers who offer direct admission for some money. No extra money is required for the management quota.
