Simple and the best college in Tamilnadu

Canteen was not so good during that time, i dunno now how it is, The transport facility was good, the bus stop was near the college, there are good hotels around the college,that time there were around 10,000 faculties now i guess it has increased.There are many PG's around the college for the outside students to stay and pursue their studies.

I wrote a entrance exam of the diploma lateral entry and got an admission in this college, my ranking was around 30-40(approx), this college was very near to my home so i chose this college to pursue my B.E in electronics and electrical engineering.If you have a good ranking then you can take an admission through the merit quota seat.There was no interview process carried out in the admission process.

I chose the course Electronics and Electrical engineering and it was the best course in my college, It was a very good four years experience spent in my life,There was lots of scope given on the practical learning, labs were excellent,There were lots of research intiatives undertaken by our department, There were lots of elective options which was provided in our college and now only i guess the elective options for the students has increased.I guess E&C,EEE,BT etc;are some of the branches which i remember.

No, there was no internships provided by the college, students had to go search for the internships, I attended two internships during my course which carried on for one week, No stipend amount was provided for the internships when i did the internship.

the placement was fine we cannot say it was up to the mark when i was studying , only about 20% of the students had got placed The highest package was around 1.8lakhs to 2.5 lakhs, and according to my knowledge the highest paid package was around 4lakhs per annum during that time.The companies which visited were PCS, tata ELXI, tat infotech i dont remember much about the companies which visited our college.

there were lots of events which took place in the college, most of them were taking place for the state level, TIES was an event name which was an sports event, The event named JICK JAZZ which was an cultural event.

Since i got a seat in merit quota since my ranking was good my fees was 12000INR in the first year later from second year we had to pay a fees of 9500INR per year, and if you are getiing inside the college through the management quota then students had to pay a fees of 32000INR these are the detailed figures of fees when i was studying.

yes there were scholarships provided by the college for the students who did well in their exams, especially the meritious students. The students with backward classes and SC,ST students were provided with the scholarships too.

yes there were lots of activities carried on in our college, There were lots of music troops in our college, many actors do visited the college during the cultural events.

actually i didnt stay in the hostel, friends who stay in hostel say that they had 2,3,4 sharing rooms in the hostel, no single rooms were provided for the students to stay in hostel, Hostel food was very good,

yes the alumni network was very good, our seniors usually visited us.

the exams were conducted in an systematic way there were three internals which were undertaken out of which best two were taken for the final considerations, Internal assesments were not tiring but the final exams were tiring because we had to sit for 3 hours continously so that was tiring thats it.

faculties were the best, in terms of teaching and everything they were the best,They all were M.tech degree holders only few including HOD had a degree of Ph.D degree, They had a good knowledge regarding the subjects which they were undertaking for the students,only thing which i disliked was that there were lots of punishments given to the students.They were very much interactive but upto an extent.
