Amazing experience till now

The every good point, goes to the climate here. This refers to the fresh air, fresh water , very pure. I have a very good experience at this college. We don't get a feel, even to leave this campus.The bad thing is that it is a temporary campus as it is a newly started NIT.

I had written JEE Main entrance test in 2017. By my rank and choice of options, I had got Electrical and Electronics engineering at NIT Sikkim. There was not any interview, but was an registration process. I chose my course as EEE, because my area of interest lies with that course only..mainly electrical..!!

There what I chose what not considered here, as that primary, but was well treated. There is a good focus on practical learning also. Research Initiatives are also taken under the name of our technical fest, ABHIYANTRAN(A Tribute to INDIAN ARMED FORCES). There are also elective procedures for electing our own representative regarding the fests, class, sports, etc.

Yes , there was internship provided by the major companies like INTEL, SUN FORMA, L&T, etc... The average stipend amount gives was around 7000 INR.

Placements were good. Placements percentage last year was around 98%. The major companies which visited our campus are INTEL, SUN FORMA, L &T , POWER GRID, Mac Afee, Robert BOSCH, etc

The name , "ABHIYANTRAN" represents the technical fest of our college NIT Sikkim. This year it is being held as a Tribute to Indian Armed Forces.It is conducted from 27th October to 29th October. Many great personalities are arriving to our campus for delivering their speeches, also called as talks. This technical fest is organised by 3rd year students. The name, "UDGAM", represents the cultural fest held at our campus. It is done in the even semesters. This cultural fest is organised by the 2nd year students.

Fee structure is good. Yes, we can afford it. And also their is a huge concession on basis of either caste system, or economically backward ..or on both also. I had paid nearly 55000 for the First Semester, including Mess and Hostel fees.

Yes, the college provide scholarships. I did not avail any scholarship. The college colaberates with the State Bank of Indian and provides loan for the students but under certain restrictions.

There are pretty good extra curricular activities. There are sports events, which include tournaments based on different sports, which too are conducted by students. There also competition among NIT's called as Inter NIT Competition, in which our students also take part.

Yes, I'm residing in a hostel. Yes they are individual rooms which is shared by 3 members of the same year batch. We paid nearly 13500 for hostel fees including mess fees.

We have 3 labs every week for our first semester namely, Computer, Physics and Mechanical Workshop. We look tired when we come out from the lab, but we get enough time to get refreshed. There are only two exams mainly MID-SEM and END-SEM.

Almost every teachers are well experienced here. Some of the HOD's were only the Professors. The remaining all are Assistant Professors. They are pretty well interactive with students, even they are the ones who say us that education and learning should be from both ways but not in a single way.
