Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I loved BCom as its placement is quite good so I chose this course. Faculty is around 30 to 40 and students are like 500 to 1000. All the teachers were quite well qualified and were very good at teaching. Exams were taken after every semester i.e. after 6 every month.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. The total number of companies that made offers was 20 and the companies visited were Wipro, Intex, dell, hp, etc. The average percentage required in every semester was 85%. My plan after getting the degree is to complete MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very low and affordable as it is a government college. I got an internship with the company Wipro where I was willing to go. The books are included in the fees of every year and I got around 30000 scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest, tech fest is conducted in the hall and in December. Huge numbers of books are present in the library. The classroom was well kept and everything was neat and clean. Sports were taken very seriously and were taken to the district level. The engineering club was the club that was run by the students.

Admission

Eligibility for the course is through an entrance exam. The application form is found on the official website of the college. Reservation benefits are not availed. No improvement is required in the admission process as it's an easier process right now.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
