Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good. It includes logical applications in the real world. All first years have the same syllabus and there is an option to change branches at the end of the year. There are open-book tests that help in applications. The teachers are very qualified and come from high institutes. Quizzes are held once every month, and compare is at the end. It is not very difficult to pass if you can understand the topics we'll.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good in the college. There are two internships. One in the second year and one in the fourth year. The campus placements happen. Many top companies from India and outside come for placements. The highest package in this campus is 50 lpa and the average is 20 lpa. The alumni network is also quite good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Personally, the fees are very high, but since it is such a prestigious institute and gets no money government, it's worth it. The fees are hiked by 30% every year. So for 4 years, it would take 30 lakhs to complete the course including all expenses. The scholarship is given to meritorious students in need of it. Job opportunities are really good over here.
Campus Life
Life at this campus is awesome. There are a lot of things to do. You can never get bored there. Three fests are conducted throughout the year - The tech fest is called Atmos, the cultural fest is called Pearl and the sports fest is called Arena. All are amazingly organised. The library is huge and has books of all sorts including fiction. It also has good wifi access. The classroom is very spacious. There are many sports facilities on the campus.
Hostel Facilities
There is compulsory hostel policy. All the students have to stay in college hostel. Hostels are very well maintained and are cleaned everyday. Rooms are comfortable with required amenities. Only con is there is no washing machine and no attached washrooms. It is a good price that they demand for hostel.
Admission
To get into BITS one has to write the BITSAT exam. Registration is to be done through the official BITS website. Exam fees are around 3k for one session. The exam is out of 390 marks and to get CSE in Pilani, one has to score above 300. There are no reservations. Many times the office doesn't respond to calls or emails.
