My experience in NIT jamshedpur.

As you know NIT are college of national importance so the curriculum and faculty member were extraordinary considering their qualification but you might find there teaching styles different because this a subjective opinion. I choose production and industry engineering here because this college has the best numbers placement wise in India when it comes to core branches. My choice was to join NIT and to get good placement and this college fulfilled both the case . And talking about faculty student ratio initially there were very less number of faculty like 120 more or less and more than 2000 students but from past few year our college recruited so many faculties and the ratio is good now. And talking about examination we have a mid term and end term examination and sometimes few MCQ type quiz for internal assessment but if you are hard working and have qualified JEE with good marks you won't have any issue passing examination you might face difficulty at some point.

So our college provides intership opportunities to the students in their 5th and 7th semester. They provide summer internship at different cities with good stipend and sometimes no stipend. Amazon, G health, atlacian, Tata are major companies provide internship. We prepare projects to work on and to display on our CV to look better .

The best part about our college is that our college have excellent placement considering any branch. Students are eligible for intership in their 5th semester and placement from 7th semester. This year more than 750 offers were made and some of the companies are atlacian, Amazon, Flipkart,uber, Qualcomm and many more. The highest package was 83 lpa and average stood 15.98 lpa. And no. Of students placed were 98.87. And my plans after the degree to secured highest package from my college according to my will.

I am general category students so I have to pay full fees i.e 1.08 lakhs per semester which includes both college and hostel fees if you are a category student you might have to pay less amount than that. And there is very less hike in fee structure what I am seeing for last few semester. And considering different expenses of your month bare minimum is 2000 or less and if you are more of outing person then double it. And there is no stipend for me atleast because of ofcourse general category.

Our campus is huge but don't fall for the acres it covers most of the areas are not used most part is forest our college is at developing stage. We have excellent hostel after 1yr and academic building better than most of the IITs. Classrooms are huge and fully AC with smart board. There were few shops all at one place and best night canteen ever. And our library i don't know because I never been there but I have heard it has lot of books. And we have 4 basketball court 2 in use , 2 lawn tennis court, athletic ground ( used for cricket also) hockey ground, 4 outdoor badminton court and 2 indoor ( no one use indoor guess the reason) , 2 volleyball courts and a on going football ground we have all grounds and if you are sports enthusiasts you have great chance to explore here. And about clubs and societies we have many clubs named drift racing club and so many . NSS social club and you can find our website just googling it

Our college have recently built 6 floor hostel with lift facilities. After your 1st year you'll get single room but before that you have to share room with one of your friends assigned by college don't get too excited not by your own choice. In single room you will get single bed, almirah ,table chair with a balcony. And about hostel every hostel have their mess and we have one mega mess which is responsible for 2 hostels . Food menu is fixed for one week and no change you'll enjoy meal for few weeks then even if it was good you can't enjoy because no human being can eat same 1 week menu food for whole year. Registration is simple we have to just pay online and submit the slip in the office and done. For your information I am hosteler.

I appeared for JEE mains in year 2021 same year when I passed my 10+2 examination. I was expecting you are well aware of this entrance exam if you are engineering enthusiast. After this examination there JEE advanced for IIT and mains for NIT after all the examination were over there is a specific counseling process for more than 100 college from a single portal josaa which provide to fill up your college preferences with your preferred branch in that particular college and based on your CRL ranking and position of your preferred college you'll be assigned a college. For me I got NIT jamshedpur from my josaa counseling and got a confirmation letter from college with my registration number which was provided after I paid my admission fees and all.
