Course Curriculum Overview
The reason I choose this course was completely based on my interest in physics. Overall, the faculties are quite good and supportive. Exams for theory subjects are conducted in three ways, there are minors/mid and end sem. For practical subjects, there is usually a mid-skill, followed by end sem+ viva.
Internships Opportunities
After the end of your 1st year, a few placement groups would be referred to you directly by your class CR. After joining you may fill out different forms based on your interest and get the internship based on your performance in the selection process.
Placement Experience
I'm from the second batch of this course. So I can't really talk about the placements. But for other courses, the placements are quite good. Almost all the core companies visit here and the placement percentage is also quite high.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is totally semester based and may vary according to your course. For accurate information, you may visit the official nitw site. Scholarships are also available, there are two types of scholarships. 1st one is totally financial-based and is only available for btech courses. 2nd merit-based, on each sem/ year they'll release a merit list and scholarships will be provided accordingly.
Campus Life
In short, you'll never get bored here. Campus life is filled with various fests (technozion, spring spree, etc.). Talking about the availability of books, the library itself is quite huge and filled with books on almost all subjects. Many sports are played, and sport meets are held.
Hostel Facilities
Accommodation is very spacious (boys hostel, 1.8k) and they'll provide you with all the necessities like, a table, a chair, lan connection, a bed, and a fan. Talking about the meals, coming from North India, the food is not that great (not that worst, you'll have to adjust).
Admission
The admission process for undergraduate programs at nitw is primarily based on the performance in JEE (Main). The eligibility of my course is the same as other undergrad courses available in nitw. After getting selected, the Admission process is done in two phases. 1st phase involves doing admission via an online portal. After the verification of the documents online, candidates are called for offline verification.
