- Placement here is quite good wanna grab some good pakage and leave on happy note.
- Peer group is nice. Each one of them being hood at something forces you to perform better than yesterday
- Mess food is good. Not as bad as mess food is quoted.
Dislikes
- In fests mostly guests are from south so vibe doesn't match with north region child.
- Hostel bathroom cleanliness not too good
- Attendance policy of 80% is very hectic . Can't study anything else due to lack of time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Metallurgical and Material Engineering because I want to get into this college. 77 students were there in my class and there were faculties accordingly. Most of them being ex IITian or NITian. They mostly use a projector and ppt and explain the topics. About exams 4 exams for each course. Minor1 objective pattern Mid Exam Subjective Minor 2 objective and End Exam subjective excluding Lab exams.
Internships Opportunities
Completing my 1st year honestly had no idea about internships but heard from seniors that companies fo offer good internship offers and post that pre-placement offer. Just develop skills and maintain your CGPA.
Placement Experience
The placement record of our college is quite good and that's what landed me here. The average package of CSE is 24 lpa while the average package of metallurgy is 13lpa overall around 12 lpa. The placement percentage for cse is 99% and metallurgy-like core branches are around 80.
Fees and Financial Aid
If your income is less than 5 lakh or you are SC ST or PWD then you will get scholarships. Generally for non-scholarship candidate tuition fee for the whole course is 5 lakh adding some additionalsand hostel feel almost 7 lakh for 4 years.
Campus Life
On our campus, two fests are organized every year. One is a technical fest named Technozion and the other cultural fest SpringsSpree. Being south college mostly invited guests are from the south. The library of our campus is quite good lots of books and one digital library too is present. Additionally, Gym Stadiums and courts for many outdoor games have been provided. Many clubs for different purposes are there.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is OK Decent room with double sharing. Cleanliness in the corridor was good but no cleaning staff for regular room cleaning was there. Bathrooms are also sometimes not clean and water is not there. Overall it was ok. Mess is good food is not that bad. The menu for breakfast is quite impressive offering 7 different menus for 7 days while for lunch and dinner, they offer roti and rice mainly.
Admission
For admission to NIT Warangal, you have to write JEE MAINS and get the minimum percentile score for the respective course according to your category. For General to enter the college you must get around 97%ile while for other categories it starts reducing significantly. Afterward, you need to register yourself on JOSSA for the further counseling process.
