This college is a good growing college among IIITs.
Placement record is very nice and it's location is nice.
Friendly Behaviour of faculty makes the college life easy.

Dislikes

Mess food has low quality, it should be improved.
Not having permanent campus is a not good for us.
There's no ground and proper court for the players

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm pursuing BTech and I wanted to be a computer science engineer that's why I selected this course. There's a good ratio of faculty and student. There are four sections of the 2021 batch and each section has a sufficient number of faculty to control the chaos. All the faculty are well qualified, some are from IITs while others have done their masters from a reputed institute, some teach really amazing while some make the class boring but overall it is good. Our semester exam is very much on time, and it's not difficult to pass the semester, daily studying a little bit will make you pass the semester.

Internships Opportunities

Delloite, virtusa, etc companies provide opportunities for internship programs for interested students they also give stipends. In projects, they demand to work on website development Machine learning or software development etc.

Placement Experience

After 6th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. There are lots of companies like commvault, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, kfc, Infosys, 1+, etc. The highest Package is 26 lakhs in MPL on campus placement for software development. 90+ percent of students got placed. I also want to be a software developer.

Fees and Financial Aid

In IIITs fees are really high, and poor ones can't afford them. I think this is semi government college so there might fee hike. There are Scholarships for lower background people like NSP, state government scholarship programs, etc while studying one can intern with a stipend.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Ephemere it is conducted in March/April, My college has a small library. AC and fans are there in the classroom. This college has no campus. people go outside for the games, but there is a gully cricket ground. there are lots of groups and clubs.

Admission

You need to qualify for the JEE MAIN exam with a good percentile. You can find all the information about the exam on the site of Jossa. I don't get any reservation benefits, so I don't have any idea about it. I don't think there should be any improvement in the admission process, since you have to qualify for the reputation exam to get into a good engineering college.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

The real pride of dumka

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Choose Future, not Present

I had several other options like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, BITS Pilani etc... Now in all the tier 2 nits i would have got either metallurgy or civil at the best but in BITS Pilani i could've got ENI but the fees there was 33 lkh for all the 4 years so it was not affordable for me. This was the best option keeping in mind my rank, roi and fees. You can get here by applying for jossa or csab after you have given jee mainsa and you will get a seat if you get good rank....Read More
