Course Curriculum Overview
I was always fascinated by automotive engineering that's why I chose this stream. faculty to student ratio is 1:28. Most of the professors are PhDs from IITs. The teaching method is not much innovative. All the examinations are timely according to the academic calendar. If someone studies seriously a week before exams he/she can easily pass.
Internships Opportunities
companies like Amazon, DE shaw, and ONGC visit our campus to provide internship opportunities to the students. DE Shaw pays around 1lakh per month to interns and also offers a ppo of 37 lpa. Many students also go to research in IITs on a stipend of 15k-25k per month.
Placement Experience
from the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. Companies that come to our college are Amazon, DE shaw, Fanatics, Adobe India, info Edge, PayTM, Arcesium, IBM, Capgemini, ONGC, HCL etc. The highest package offered was 55lpa by Adobe for roles of member of technical staff. In my branch, around 78% of students were placed. I am planning to work in the core industry.
Fees and Financial Aid
for sc/st candidates and ones from gen/obc/ews/girl whose parental income is less than 1lakh, the whole tuition fee is waived. For those whose family income lies between 1-5lakhs,2/3 of the tuition fee is waived off. for the ones whose family income is more than 5lakhs are required to pay the whole fee 138000rs. There are some scholarships provided to financially weaker students namely KK SUGANDHI SHOLARSHIP, a full tuition fee reimbursement scholarship.
Campus Life
annual cultural fest of our college is called ECLECTIKA which is conducted around February month. we have large numbers of clubs and committees namely Technocracy which organised a tech-fest named AAVARTAN, then there we have Shaury the sports club, NRITYAN the dance club and many more. there are lots of books available in the library.
Admission
To take admission into any NIT one needs to qualify JEE mains examination. Anyone who has completed his intermediate with PCM is eligible to apply for this also one needs to score at least 75% if he is a gen/obc and 65% for an sc/st candidate. Forms are rolled out on Jeemain's website managed by NTA. An application fee of 650Rs. is charged from gen/obc/ews candidate and 325Rs. from st/sc/girl candidate.
