Course Curriculum Overview
0% attendance policy gives lots of freedom to explore. But at the same time if you want to do well in exams you have to attend classes.as there is less attendance in class you will have lots of chance to interact with the excellent faculty of bits hyderabad. There are always quizzes happening, We also have midsem and endsem,it is a continuous evaluation process. I feel this type of teaching method ensures that we won't wander off from academics just because we have 0%
Internships Opportunities
We have 2 internship-like opportunities provided by bits themselves, I.e, PS1 after 2nd year, and PS2 either 4-1 or 4-2. Ps1 takes place towards your summer break, while PS2 takes place for an entire sem. Both add up to give bits students lots of industrial exposure and opportunity for PPOs(pre-placement offers) For PS1 we have to pay but for PS2, it is stipend based
Placement Experience
Placement statistics is the main reason for my choice of bits Pilani,Hyderabad campus. You get the tag of bits Pilani on your certificate even though you studied from hyd campus.aroun 87-90% got placed last year with a salary of 30 lakhs median. Which is really high and competitive to top iits.all the major mncs visit the campus and we also get lots of ppos
Fees and Financial Aid
There is 100% scholarship for top1% and top 2 and 3% also have scholarship ship (can't recall the exact number).if your household income is <10lakhs then you can easily get Mcn scholarship(this also has a rank list based on cg) ranging from 80% to 40%
Campus Life
There are all types of clubs here . We have 3 fests arena(sports) pearl(cultural) and atmos(tech) which are run by many departments all managed by students.if you don't find a club you like you can even make one
Hostel Facilities
1st years get Valmiki Bhavan which is relatively new and well maintained. We have vending machines in hostel gates close at 2am all night canteen many food outlets(Amul,Maggi point,sandwich point,etc), if you get bored of the routine mess food (which is really great).1st and 2nd(mostly) get double sharing rooms 3rd and 4th yrs get single room
Admission
Took bitsat exam, eligibility-75% in pcm and 60% in each subject.application form and details found on bitsat official website. they have 2 attempts, I feel it judges your quick thinking process.
