I wrote various entrance exams including JEE, VITEEE, BITSAT and MUOET, the entrance exam for Manipal Institute of Technology. I've heard many tales about the goodness of the college and ended up here. There wasn't any interview process, the admission was decided based on all India rank of MUOET. Post that there was verification and submission of documents and payment of fees to follow. I've researched a lot about this branch and got to know that this field is of major importance in almost every field and has got great opportunities abroad too.

It's been great till now with good hands-on approach equally to practical and theoretical knowledge. There are lots of research projects going on and interested students can opt to be a part of any research they're interested in. There are various Elective options in all fields in technical, Humanities, Foreign languages and so on.

There are various internships provided by the college with and without stipend. The stipend provided depends on the companies, ranging from 5k to 30k per month

Placements are great here with a wide range of companies. There's 100% placement for eligible students (CGPA>6.0). All major companies like Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Schneider, GM,etc are available for interviews. The average package is well over 6 lakhs per annum.

The college Organizes a Technical fest called Tech Tatva and a Cultural fest called Revels every year. It is organized on a huge scale with various colleges participating. Apart from that, there are frequent events too. The college authorities conduct it on a grand success.

For a seat in General Category it's about 3-3.5 lakhs per annum for academic fees. For AICTE Category (low income) it's about 1-1.25 lakhs per annum for academic fees. Hostel and mess fees is common for all categories ranging from 85,000 - 1,50,000. It's worth the money spent.

It provides scholarship based on the ranking in MUOET and Income of parents. I've got a AICTE scholarship under low income. The college also helps in getting a loan from the banks too.

There is a huge platform to showcase our talents in any field. There are numerous clubs to tend to our extracurricular activities.

Hostels are pretty well facilitated. You get to choose your hostel for your first year. In the senior years, the Hostels are allotted based on your GPA. There are all kinds of room from a dorm to single, AC, Non AC. There are PG's outside too at reasonable costs, price ranging depending on the kind of luxury.

There is quite good alumni network with frequent interaction with us. The alumni contributed to the development of the college with their inputs and feedbacks. The tips from ex-students is always good for present students.

It actually is a chill culture, not that hectic. The kind of tests and assignments is also a nice one. It includes assignment tests, open book tests and a project submission

All the faculties are very well qualified and highly experienced in their respective fields. They are pretty well interactive on and off the classrooms. They use all forms of teaching, power point presentation to the old blackboard teaching. Proper notes and reference books are adequately provided.
