I love science so that is why I choose the biochemistry department - It is a branch of science that deals with chemistry applied to the study of living organisms and the atoms and molecules which comprise living organisms. The faculty of students around in Bsc overall 500. and MSc 200. As teaching techniques, the teachers used slide presentations, power-point multimedia, and traditional blackboard. The end-semester examination is a written examination. Minimum Pass Mark in each paper (CIA & External together) for The graduate is 40% and Post Graduate is 50%Outgoing students who have failed one theory paper in the last semester examination are allowed to appear for the Supplementary Examination with prescribed fee payment of Rs.325/- for UG & Rs.425/- for PG. The student should submit a request for revaluation in the prescribed format and pay a fee of Rs. 500/- per paper.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are also provided by the college. Some departments are provided by outside internships. If my department is offered by outside Stanely hospital, private labs. some departments have no internship. Most of us in our college are provided with free internships on our campus.

Placement Experience

Well, placements start from the 3rd year itself. It depends from college to collegeIf you are really serious about getting a job, focus more on aptitude, coding, and most importantly communication skills. Students often ignore the importance of this skill. You can also learn a skill and find an internship in your 2nd year. Job requirements visit campus IT, SBI Southerland, Ag's health care, TCS, and HDFC Bank. Around 80 percent of students get placements easily. The highest package was around 5 LPA and the lowest was about 2 LPA My plan after the degree I want to get a job in medical coding in ags health care.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is so flexible The fee is an all-inclusive annual fee including various fees like Tuition fee, Admission fees, Special fees, Laboratory, Library fees, Sports fees, Placement and training fees, Maintenance fees and amenities fees, Extra-Curricular Activities fees, other recurring expenditure. By encouraging the students to study through Tamil Medium, a stipend for Tamil Medium students was initiated Graduate students pursuing studies through Tamil medium and writing their exam in Tamil receive Rs. 900/- a year under this scheme. The Placement Cell also strives to keep in step with the employment opportunities in IT (Information Technology) related fields: free coaching classes in Computer Hardware Maintenance, MS Office tools, Financial Accounting, Software Tally The Placement Cell has to its credit been instrumental in the placement of several students in IT companies such as WIPRO, Southerland, Tally, and HCL.

Campus Life

an annual cultural event at a college or university organized by the student community, involving participants from other colleges as well. Professional performing artists are also typically invited, and a number of competitions are held for students. College cultural conducted in Sep / Aug month. so many celebrities visit our college as chief guest to judging in students events performance. The QMC library is made up of a General Library, a Digital Library, 25 Departmental Libraries, and a Resource Center for Students with Visual Impairments. The library is fully furnished with all contemporary amenities and materials (both print and electronic), including CDROMs, DVD-ROMs, video cassettes, books, periodicals, and more. women students to excel in sports and games thus contributing to the growth of sports and games at the State and National level. There are nearly 13 teams of Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton, Athletics, Carom, and Chess which participate in the intercollegiate, District, State, and National level.

Admission

Only Women candidates are eligible to apply. Should have appeared for the Plus Two examinations (HSC) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or its equivalent and secured a pass in all the subjects. Should not exceed the age limit of 24 years. (Relaxation of 2 years permitted for the Physically Challenged candidates) For PG Courses, the candidate should have completed a UG Degree from the University of Madras or any other equivalent University. The College follows the Government reservation forms in admitting the candidates. Rank Lists are prepared based on the Part-III total (out of 400) secured by the candidate in the HSC examination and will be posted on the college website. Separate quotas are available for the Physically Challenged, Sports (Priority for National Level and State Level), Tamil candidates, and Ex-Servicemen. Shift I and Shift II admissions will be done on the same day.

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. Placement Experience:

The placements at college were good. Students become eligible for placement from the 5th semester. Some of the companies to my knowledge were Deloitte, Cognizant, Hexaware and the average package was between 3lpa to 5lpa. In my class, ther percentage pf students placed was more than 75%. My plan after my Bachelors was to immediately pursue Masters degree.
