NIT JAMSHEDPUR - the college I call home.

At my rank the branches I was getting were meta, civil, and PIE but I chose PIE because of its less workload and the according to industries syllabus. The faculty-student ratio is just average, just enough so that you will never face your classes going without being taught. There are some guest faculties too for subjects like the science of living systems. The faculty here are qualified enough most of them have done Ph.D. from good IITs and NITs. when it comes to teachers here also you get a mixed package like any other NIT or IIT, some teachers are good and helpful while some are horrible and strict enough to give you nightmares. There are two main exams in each semester one being mid sems and the other is end sems, in addition to that some marks are given by teachers assessment.

Students get internship after the fourth semester. A lot of companies like coinbase, Tata motors, tata Cummins, jsw, etc give summer internship also you get a 6 month internship in the seventh semester that is compulsory for everyone. For internship you have to make a project from the 2nd year itself upon which you get your internship.

Students are eligible for placement from the seventh semester onwards. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian, Deloitte, HSBC, and many major companies come every year to recruit. Placement percentage is 98.87 % . Placements stats are attractive for our college. The best thing about NIT JSR is its placement. Core placements are really good in our college. 100% placement in civil, meta, and mechanical. And the Cse avg package is 27 lpa in our college.Ece avg is 21 lpa,EE avg is 17 lpa.PIE avg is 11.37, Mech avg is 10.50, Meta is 9.42, and Civil is 9.57. Future plans after getting the degree are campus placements and let's see what happens further.

At the time of admission, you get a full 4-year fee structure of yours which is constant throughout the course so no fee hike. The fees here are a bit high but yes you are in an NIT so fee remission (tuition fee waiver) and different types of scholarships like FFE, medhavi scholarship are available also you can opt for a student loan. So you don't have to worry about the fees. Here the most important thing is a job for which you can rely on the college. Each branch (Btech) has at least 90 percent placement so you don't have to worry about it all you have to do is prepare well and learn skills.

The college life is good the annual fests are culfest in April, ojass in March, and a sports fest urja in January month. Though there are not many journals available in the library there are piles of course books that you can use in your studies. Each classroom gas projector with speakers and is fully air-conditioned. Regarding sports and extracurricular activities, there are a number of clubs and societies in the college for the overall growth of students. Different technical clubs, dramatics clubs, dancing, singing, painting and many sports clubs are there in the college.

The eligibility of the course is simple you must have PCM in +2 with at least 75% aggregate and most important, you have to clear jee mains with at least around 50k rank AIR if you are a general candidate, further if anyone has some reservations they should check on the collegedunia website itself. There is no specific application form you have to go for online JOSAA counseling and after you are allotted this college a notification regarding this will be there on the college website. You can pay the college fee within a month from the day of admission. Though I have not availed of any reservation benefits (Gen) still I would strongly recommend you to avail it if applicable. The admission process is good and efficient but one thing you must be aware us the JOSAA counseling, you must fill in your branch choices very carefully. Regarding the college here the administration is helpful enough to get your work done smoothly on the day of admission.
