Life at NIT Jamshedpur

I chose this course Because placement was good enough for this course. Good infrastructure and placement are best and I got this according to my jee mains rank. The faculty-student ratio of Nit Jamshedpur is not that good. It can be improved. The number of Teachers should be increased based on your rank. All the teachers of our college are Phd holders from IITs. And the teaching facilities are also good. Research facilities are a little fewer. It can be improved. Other than that student-teacher interaction is pretty good at NIT JSR. There are 2 Semesters each year and each semester has mid sems and end sems exams. mid sem is for 30 marks and the end is for 50 marks. and 20 marks remaining are for attendance, viva and assignment. It is easy to Pass exams despite some of the subjects.

Internships are good. many companies offer intern to students after the 4th sem. overall internships are great at NIT JSR—companies such as Adobe. Flipkart, Tata Cummins, and HaL offer internships at Nit Jsr.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 250+ companies visited our Various college company visit our colleges such as Adobe, Amazon, Deloitte, Exon mobile, bajaj, Flipkart, Microsoft, Atlassian, Byjus, Tradence, HSBC, Tata, Aditya Birla, Axis Bank and various other companies visited our college. The highest package offered at our college was 83 lpa; the average package is around 14.5 lpa for the whole college.

The fee for a Btech course is 212000 per year. Usually, the fee doesn't hike regularly but yeah occasionally it gets hiked. You could get your fee remitted based on your family income. Complete fee remission on tuition fees for family income less than 1 lacs and 2/3rd remission on tuition fees for family income more than 1 lac and less than 5 lacs. Various other scholarships are available such as ffe, tata .medhavi and various other scholarships.

Various fests are conducted by this college mainly the Cultural fest that is Culfest Technical fest Ojass and the sports fest Urja. Urja is conducted is the month of October. Ojass in May and Culfest in February. Mainly technical books are available in the library. Course books are available but apart from courses, other books are significantly less in the library. But you can study in Library. The study environment is good at the library. Classrooms are well built at Nit jsr. Benches tables boards are well available. Classes are fully air-conditioned and smart classrooms are open in the Lecture hall complex. So classes are well built. Various sports are played in our college. The sports facilities are really amazing in our college. Various clubs such as dance, photography, Painting, Dramatics, Fashion, literary and debating society, Quiz club and various other clubs are also available.

For the first year dual sharing room is given and then for the next 3 years single rooms are assigned to each individual. A cupboard a bed a table and a chair are given in the room .lan ports are also available for the Internet. Meal quality is ok in this college. I will not say that good and not that bad, It can be eaten. The registration process for the hostel is done after admission. Hostels are allotted after getting a seat here.

In order to get admission into any of the NITs of the country one must be 12th pass, and should qualify JEE MAIN exam to enrol in different Btech courses based upon your rank. There are 31 NITs in the country. You can Give the exam three times and after qualifying for Jee mains you also get eligible to give Jee advanced exam to get admission into IITs. Also, many other colleges offer access on the basis of Jee's main rank. Exams are conducted twice a year in January and December; application fees are Rs 1000/-(For males)and Rs 800/-(For females). The exam is conducted by NTA and forms are available in the month of December on jee main official website. Reservation is available based on your Category. (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC/SC/ST. Admission Process is Good. JEE MAIN is a well-conducted Exam. JOSAA and CSAB Counselling do counselling.
