My opinion on this college is superb and I can truly say that our college stands in top 5 universities in India . We were provided with the excellent infrastructure and excellent staff. No ragging . College weather is good.
Entrance Preview
Our University conducts Entrance exam to take students in to the college. Manipal entrance examination in online based test and conducted in major cities across India.My score in the entrance exam was 110 out of180.I had choose this college because i got a positive reply from my friend who was previously persuing btech in Manipal institute of technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is restructured every three to four years.So,it is kept up to date with the existing company necessities.Course curriculum is included with recent technologies in course outline.You have an opportunity in open electives as well as program electives which you can pick of your curiosity.We didn’t have few subjects that were essential by few of the companies.But the course structure is now reviewed for our juniors.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are very inadequate.Bulk of the students acquire internships on their own tries through references. In third year,Lot a many companies visit the university to provide internships and also have a chance to lead to pre-placement offers.Average stipends ranges from 18000 to 25000 per month.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college are decent. There are roughly around 80-90% of students hired who are suitable for placements from every branch.Though the placements for the computer science and Information Technology students are quite high.Average package is near to 4 lpa for our stream.There are many companies that visit the college,few of them visit constantly and few companies visit in a break of a some years.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Course fee in MIT for my branch is around Rupees 3 lakhs and for other branch the it is in between 2.4 to 2.7 lakhs for one year.Hostel fee depends on the type of room you choose and it is in between 50,000 to 1,50,000.Fee structure in manipal frequently faces a lot of criticism and many call it too expensive.
Faculty
Faculty here in my institute are very open-minded both inside or outside the campus.If we talk about qualification,we don't suppose them to be graduates from a famous foreign universities, but they are very well qualified and experienced.Much of the teaching is done through using a projector.I would not say that the learning practice is very efficient.Faculty is very helpful and you can learn a lot of new things from them.
