Different and New experiences

My experience here has been one of learning and exploring. Our college supports us for everything that would enhance our knowledge and build us up to be the best that we can.

GMAT - 540 I was attracted to the global experience that the institute offered with its student exchange program to Spain and France as well as the global mindset training, which is a 10-12 days international industrial tour. I am person who loves traveling and learning from experience, this college offered me just that. So far, I am not disappointed.

The course details can be found online. You can go through the subjects offered here at NSB. NSB does not only provide MBA, instead an MBA+PGPM. PGPM provides a more practical perspective of business, where MBA gives the theoretical knowledge required to back the practical understanding.

Yes, our college does provide us internship opportunities. General stipend would be around Rs5000-Rs10000.

Our college provides placements and job opportunities. At the end of the day an institute can only bring the opportunities to the students, but it's in our hands to get it. The college works towards attracting the best JDs for the students, and so far we are not disappointed.

We had an orientation program about a month, where we were introduced to faculties and the subjects and skills needed for MBA. During this time we were also taken out for a trekk. We celebrate festivals at NSB, and welcome the exchange students. We have club activities every weekend which give a unique learning experience. Freshers party and farewell party are a must.

Fee structure is feasible. Rs100000/- per semester, about Rs10500/- examination fees. Hostel charges Rs7000/-. The exchange program the traveling and accommodation expenses are all on the student if the student is interested to go. Exchange program expenditure comes to around Rs300000 which is not given to the college.

I did not apply for any scholarships or loan. However, my friends have and college provides assistance for loan. You can contact the college for any assistance that you may require.

The gender ratio is balanced. If anything, I am sure there are more female students here being empowered to lead the future. We have a number of clubs that students can participate in. We have adventure club, literature club, sports club, movie club etc...

We are soon going to move to a new campus, so I am not really aware of the new hostel that we will be provided. However, the current hostel that we live in is... Well... A hostel. We have 2-5 sharing rooms, Comfortable mattress, cleanliness is maintained. We have a fridge, induction and a washing machine. The food is provided on time and is edible. But the things are likely to change soon.

The alumni network of our college is strong. My experience with the seniors has been good, they have been helpful everytime I needed their help and have guided me through hurdles put in front of us during the course.

It's a bit complicated to understand if you are not a part of the system. We have MBA exam for 75 marks and 25 internal marks(taken from the PGPM scores). Total 100, of which it is important to score 35 marks to clear the subject. If you get a back in a subject you can only give it next to next semester I.e., if you get a back in add semester, you can give the exam for it again only in odd semester. This structure is related to Mysore University exam pattern. The PGPM evaluation is done out of 100 and the structure depends on the faculty taking that subject. You need 40 to clear the subject.

I attempted GMAT. Applied online on the college website. I got a call for a personal interview/telephonic interview. I went with personal interview. Received shortlisted mail and had to pay the fees. We were given a timeline to submit our documents and that was it. I am now an NSBian

The college faculties are here to help us to not only learn the subjects but also help us realise our potential. They are supportive and encouraging to each student here at NSB. They are here to share their knowledge, experience and wisdom that will help us deal with real life situations that may arise when we go out into the field. The MBA is not just a course, rather an experience.
