Remarks

College demands too much money sometimes. That should be avoided. Also, college should provide with ample necessities to its students when it comes to inter-university participation.

Entrance Preview

The college admits students via UPSEE or via JEE-Mains exams. If seats still remain vacant then management quota is considered.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course that I have chosen is B.tech in Mechanical Engineering. The faculty and labs are good. Atmosphere, though,is a bit dull. Recently our college got an NBA certification for the Mechanical and EC branch.

Internships Opportunities

College helps in providing industrial visits and training at the end of each year to the students. Though, they are not made mandatory. So if you really wanna go home and enjoy, leaving the training and internship stuff aside, you can do so. Both options are freely available.

Placement Experience

4

As far as number of students getting placed is concerned then that rate is really appreciative. They are able to place almost 90% of their students. But,most of these placements are in IT firms offering 2-3 lpa packages.Students do get placed to good companies every year but that number is very less.

College Events

4

College has loads of cultural,technical,non-technical,literary events throughout the year. There are around 30 different societies engaging in different things of their own. These societies organised fests and events of their own , sometimes independently and sometimes combined. All in all,it's a fun place to be.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is around 1.3 lakh per year for academics and around 90k for in-campus hostel. Off campus hostels and PG's are also available with better facilities and cheaper rates.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not offer any kind of scholarship but if you are from lower class and do not have well earning family income then you sure can apply for a scholarship from the university. AKTU is a government university and it does help it's students financially whenever possible.

Campus Life

4

As I said there are number of events happening through the year during fests or independently. So there is really a lot that students can participate and/or conduct and learn as good extra-curricular skill buildup.

Hostel Facilities

3

I reside in the in-campus hostel. Obviously, for the colleg life experiences. Hostel is costly and does not has better facilities that the off-campus ones but again you get to live within the college campus. You get to have friends from the same college and one hell of a good hostel life!

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are always helping. They help us in nurturing our skill set. But again, being good or bad is a relative concept.

Exam Structure

Exams happen almost every month. They are not very much forced upon us. Marks are dealt with on an overall basis when it comes to giving internals.

Faculty

3.5

Almost all of the faculties in all the branches are PhD. Most of them are already involved in research works. Many have even published really successful research papers in recent times. Faculty is frank and helping only if you try to contact them. If you are not willing, they won't even know you.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
