- The campus at VGEC is very good itself and has sport activity area
- The faculties here are very supportive and very forward they just act like a friend with the students
- The placements are also very good with 5LPA to 6LPA at average.
Dislikes
- It's Government college therefore you need to run here and there small things
- The Canteen is not available yet because the building is at reconstruction
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Computer Engineering in VGEC under GTU because I want to be a game developer. The faculty and student ratio is quite balanced as this is a government college. The younger faculties we have here are the best at teaching subjects and the older faculty are rigid not all of them are but some of them are. We give 2 exams i.e. Midsem and term end sem examinations and they are pretty good level I would but if you study properly you can pass the examinations.
Internships Opportunities
The internship you need to get yourself outside the campus but the placements you can get on campus service-based companies are more often during on-campus placement. For example, companies like TCS and many startup companies hire students.
Placement Experience
For job placement students of the final year are eligible to take part in it otherwise the company prescribed. Students have the freedom of doing internships from 1st year itself. Recently 4 students got the offer of 12 Lakh per annum and VGEC CE and IT department had 100% placement. The highest package ever in the college was 24LPA. My plans after getting the degree are to do the job and apply for masters
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is absolutely amazing we are paying only 1500 Rupees per sem as this is government engineering colleges handled by GTU gujarat technological University there are many scholarships that cover the food cost as well as the hostel cost of the students who are financially weak.
Campus Life
There are tech fest every month where you can choose your field whichever you like and there is even a sports tournament which includes the majority games and you can participate in all of them The library is pretty good and you can find pretty much every book related to your field Classrooms have blackboards and benches and shelves and yes almost all basic amenities
Admission
I Took JEE Mains exam. Which has the same courses as 11th and 12th standard NCERT books. The eligibility criteria were 75% in PCM in the respective board examinations. The application form is available online on the jee website. I did not get any kind of reservation benefits. The addmission should be done on the basis of their marks, not the cast they belong to. Becuase of the cast system general category students is deprived of their rightful seats.
