Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I had no option. On that rank, I got that branch. But faculty members are highly qualified and give a supportive environment. The ratio of faculty to students is 50:2 which is enough. The term exams are conducted very timely. Not too difficult to pass, u will get the important question before the exams and from that, you will easily pass. mid-semester exams are held two times a semester, and the end-semester exam on the last of the semester.
Internships Opportunities
First of all, TATA Steel come to this college for an internship named 'INSPIRE' which is for two months and you will get 40-50 thousand per month as a stipend. for an internship, there is very less company that comes to this college so you have to find an internship on your own.
Placement Experience
students going for an internship in the 6th semester got a pre-placement offer but from the 7th semester, you will be eligible for campus placement. I haven't seen any company visit but have not made any offer. The highest package is offered by 'Amazon' which is 44 LPA to 4-5 students every year and the average package is 6.5 LPA given by Adani and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
It's too much low. For girl candidates they have to pay only 32 rupees every year also tfw category students it is the same. It is a super affordable college. So I will highly suggest u if u have a financial problem. There are some scholarship programs that u can check on the official website of bit Sindri. Most of the students apply for 'E Kalyan which is a Jharkhand state government scholarship. so many private scholarship opportunities are there in the college.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted every year here and u can fully enjoy it during that event. For books u can contact seniors also books are available at the library. There are different clubs for different activities u can join as per your interest like sports clubs, hackathon and coding clubs, Arts clubs for singing and dancing, NSS, and many more technical clubs.
Hostel Facilities
In 1st year and 2nd, you have to share your room with 3-4 members. quality of meals is good and has a lot of variety and it depends upon the hostel you are living in. From the 3rd year you will be provided single rooms. for registering in a hostel you have to fill out an application form for the hostel and you have to pay the hostel fees in advance and the mess fee monthly. If you want PG, then there are facilities for PG outside the campus at affordable prices.
Admission
You should pass 12th Or equivalent through the science stream. U must opt for maths in 11th if u have an interest in engineering. U have to clear jee the main examination for admission to this college. If u are a general student then your percentile should be above 85. And for category students, it varies. I have got admission through the obc category in the metallurgical Engineering department.
