Likes

I could meet a lot of students from around the country.
Fests are fun and it is improving these days.
Department is nice. TEachers are good and I likeyyy.

Dislikes

Haha easy, mess food. Extremely bad need to be improved.
Medical facilities also need to be improved since students get sick becuase of mess food.
MOre developed around the UNiversity which means more students.

I chose English since I have always been interested in it. That's has been my main reason for choosing English. The teachers here are all nice and good but not the best. They try their best to teach whatever they know. Exams are conducted regularly and as long as you write enough you can pass.

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea honestly. People in the reservation category can and are availing a lot of benefits. Scholarships are non-existent for students belonging to the general category. Since I am an English student, I still need to do MA or smthg before I am able to apply for jobs.

Campus Life

University life is okay. Not the best but not the worst. People from all over the country come here so you can meet them all. We have one fest conducted annually. Most departments are autocratic and they do whatever they want.

Hostel Facilities

A lot of students get sick periodically. It doesn't change even after repeated requests. They have also recently hiked mess food but the quality still remains bad. The hostel is oka. And it's comfortable.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission was through CUET. It is conducted by the NTA and when I got in, the name of the exam was CUCET. And there weren't a lot of universities you could apply to it. Now it has changed and people can apply through CUET. A lot of major Indian Govt Universities have been added which is going to do you good.

Performing Arts have more of practical things as from acting to direction we are taught everything. History and Theory as some theory part and the kind of career path that our course provides, I think for students interested in this, should join our course at Christ University.

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.

I applied for a few Central University based on my entrance marks. But i couldn't able to make into other colleges due to shortage of marks. When i got selected into this university, the first thing that attracted me was, the varied section of students which gives a platform to explore about various cultures.
