Course Curriculum Overview
I chose my course in Mining Engineering because of the opportunities provided in the government sector in this field. The strength of one batch is 50 students and the faculty is sufficient to guide each student in nurturing themselves. The faculty is highly qualified from the renowned institutes of our country and the teaching method is very understandable. The exams are conducted around every 2 months and the syllabus covered in the classrooms is only given in the exam.
Internships Opportunities
There is a large number of internship opportunities provided to every student with the help of Internshala, while in the 3rd year, the students are given the opportunity for a Mitac internship which takes place in Canada.
Placement Experience
The students from the 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. There are a large number of companies that visit our college some of them are TCS, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Samsung, etc. The average package is increasing every year and almost all of the students get placed in the placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very affordable in our college since it is a government college. Only the mess fees of around 4000 are taken every month while the tuition fees and hostel fees are one-time for each year which is around 7000 Rs. for the tuition fees and 2000 Rs. The examination form fees.
Campus Life
The campus life is very vibrant. There are plenty of clubs and societies for students with different desires. There are continuous online events in the college while few offline events. The library provides all kinds of academic books while there is a separate library for the novel readers. All the clubs and societies also help the students to develop their holistic skills.
Admission
Firstly to be able to get admitted into this college, the students have to give the JEE Mains exam. But since this is a government college under the Jharkhand University of Technology, only the students with the domicile of Jharkhand are eligible for admission. After qualifying for the JEE Mains examination, the students must appear in the JCECE counseling and do their choice filling according to their priority. After the seat is allotted, the students must come with all the required documents ( caste certificate, income certificate if reservation, and EWS category are to be availed respectively) in the given date schedule. After the process of document verification is done, the student gets admitted to the institute. The application fees for the counseling vary from 500 to 1000 depending upon your caste.
