Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is decent. The student-faculty ratio is also good, as in every department there are required amount of faculties are available. The faculties are well qualified. The mid sem, as well as end sem exams, are also being conducted in a timely and smooth.
Placement Experience
A student is eligible for campus placements after the 6th semester. The companies started visiting campus at the start of the final year. Companies from various sectors core, consultancy, and IT such as Samsung, Deloitte, Slumberger, Tata Steel, Vedanta, JSW, Aditya Birla, Infosys, TCS and many more visited the campus. The highest On Campus package last year was 14.5 LPA given by Samsung and Off Campus it was 44 LPA (Amazon). The average package last year was around 6.5 - 7 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very affordable, making it possible to study for students coming from poor backgrounds. The total cost to study for a year including hostel and mess is approx 80k. In terms of Return on Investment BIT Sindri is one of the best colleges apart from IIT/NIT. There are many scholarship opportunities also like BITSAA(alumni of college provide scholarships to deserving students), E-Kalyan(by Jharkhand government), FFE, Simens, Reliance, etc. The placements are very good in all branches. In other colleges, there are very less placements in core branches but in BIT Sindri placements in core branches are very nice many core companies visit the campus during placement sessions. BIT Sindri has one of the best placements among state government colleges.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is decent. Campus life is decent. There are many online technical as well as social events organised by different clubs or societies. There are a good amount of books available in the Central Library. Sports events such as football, and cricket tournament are also being organised. There are many technical, cultural as well as social clubs, branch societies, NGOs and social groups are there.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are affordable. In the first, second and third years, you will get sharing room. Each room contains a bed, chair, table, fans, tube lights, etc. Each hostel has its own mess and common room. The meal and menu are decent.
Admission
One should give JEE Mains exam to apply. Register for JCECB counselling according to the state merit rank college and branch will be allotted. The cutoff for different categories are as follows: (according to JEE Mains percentile) General - 83 percentile OBC - 81 percentile SC - 65 percentile
