Remarks

Campus is good, with our best efforts ragging has declined in campus, senior junior interaction are good. Initiative of Regular Scavenging has helped in keeping hostel clean.

Entrance Preview

I appeared in WBJEE-Medical 2015, and got this college in 3rd Round of Counselling Process. Yes there was a online counseling process. Out of fascination and love for this profession.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course leads us all to a well admired and noble profession of Doctor. But it needs pretty hardships to achieve, as so its aptly said "We earn the title Dr with our blood n soul". Practical learning is mainly focused and doubts are solved by the faculty members by arranging revision classes (if needed) Research activities are continuously cared on by Thesis submitted by the PGTs.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, 1 year period of compulsory internship is provided which serves as an aid for future clinical practice in any hospital and boosts experience. Avg stipend amount is around 19k-20k

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is good and most gets well placed in different health care centers. Many pursue house staff ship and/or Demonstrator ship.

College Events

4

Cultural programs are celebrated with great enthusiasm with proper cooperation b/w juniors and seniors. Annual fest is organised in the month of September, followed By Swabhiman and Freshers (Nov).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college provides scholarships for economically weak students.

Campus Life

4.5

There are lots of Pre Fest events taking place, From singing to drama, micro tale writing to arts and lots of sporting events are organised.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes there is hostel facility available. New boys hostel for 1st-final yr students, a Girls hostel and an Intern hostel for Interns, PGTs, House staffs, Demonstrators. Hostel rooms are not single, its on sharing; accommodating upto 2-3 students per room (depending upon accommodating capacity) Hostel room rents are negligible as they are govt. provided, although its ₹72 per semester.

Alumni/Alumna

Ample scope of interaction with seniors, interns, house staffs and PGTs in ward and bedside clinics classes

Faculty

4

Professors are high qualified and they are well experienced. Some are very interactive and some are not. In fact a few departments are very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
