Course Curriculum Overview
I want to do Masters in history so I selected this course. There are a good number of teachers and it is said that the level of teaching is very good also there is more number of classes better than that of the main campus. The faculty is selected by the government and their teaching skills are really good. Semester exams occur every 6 months and sessional tests are taken every month according to which the marks are given in the semester exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of a government college are normally very low but DAV has a little higher than the main campus which is almost double that of the main campus. Everyone can afford such an amount. I'm in my second year and haven't applied for any scholarship or any other financial assistance. Normally you don't get a job if you do BA(HONS).
Campus Life
Udaan is the annual fest which is conducted between the month of Feb-march. The library is too good and 90% of the books you need for the course are available there. Classrooms are very big in size around 80-100 students can sit in it also it has a good number of fans and lighting. Also, there is an indoor stadium for badminton, table tennis, and other indoor games.
Admission
Davpg College is affiliated with Banaras Hindu University and so admission is done on the basis of marks that an individual scores in the entrance exam which is conducted once every year. I appeared for the exam which was conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA) in the month of October in the year 2020 and got good marks which got the admission to the college. The individual gets benefits if he's from a reserved class. The subjects you are allotted are according to the marks you scored in the exam.
