Decent Place for mediocre students

It is a good college for those who are moderate in studies and their parents cannot afford big digits for their graduation.

I wrote UPSEE 2015 and secured around 20700 rank in General Category. I was searching for a government college and at this rank this was the only government college available so it became my choice of admitting to this college and another aspect is that Plastics Engineering is a rare branch so the chances of good carrier is more as competition will be less.

The curriculum is of AKTU which cannot be called good but still the core subjects of Plastics Engineering cannot be learnt anywhere better than here as CIPET is also an industry so you can have live industry experience while you are learning here.

No, college do not provide internship,you will have to arrange on your own and atleast 2 internships are compulsory. Although seniors help in getting internships by their past experience. Industries like Haldia Petrochemicals, Havels, J.J. Polymers, Lohia Corp. accept interns from this college.

Placements are decent as per the quality of students present here. MNCs like Toshibha, Lohia Corp., Inabata, Windsonmollar, etc visited the campus in the year 2016, the average package is 1.8lpa and highest being 4.6lpa.

Techno-Cultural fest Anant is full packed 3 day event and sports fest Capoeira is organised every year with great enthusiasm. Sponsors like GAIL sponsors ANANT.

Fee Structure is quite low and affordable than other private engineering colleges and in addition you get scholarship from UP Government. The B.Tech annual course fee per anum is 68,000 INR and Hostel fees is 42,000 INR.

UP Scholarship is available for all students.

There are several clubs literary, dance,drama,photography,geeks,etc which keeps organizing different events at times.

There is no formal platform for student-alumni network although seniors here are very helpful in terms of every need.

Exam is not a tension in AKTU curriculum,you can achieve fine results even if you study for at least one month in 1 semester seriously.

Faculty is quite decent, they are helpful, most of them are from IITs and have good experience in Teaching. Regular classes run , sessionals and assignments are given periodically in every semester. Practicals are decent if you are a serious learner as you can visit the processing department and others and can witness live things that you study in books of your course.
