What Students Say
Likes
- Architecture was pretty cool. Felt nice roaming about the college campus.
- The old mess is a great place to chat with friends and do some real work sometimes.
- I find some of the professors very helpful and motivating.
Dislikes
- Some of the professors aren't much concerned for the students with an interest. Somedays, it feels very demotivating
- I disliked the college intake. The authority should really work on it.
- Not very fond of the location it is situated. Jaipur is 20 kms away.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course specifically because I have been doing tech since high school and maybe want to someday solve a problem for the masses. The faculty: student ratio is approximately 20:1 The facilities are pretty qualified and the majority have appreciable integrity. The term exams were fairly timed. They weren't very difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The recent internship I was told about was offered by DRDO to our then 2nd year students. It's an on-site internship considered of high value. The stipend is estimated to be 10000 INR. Engineering With the possibility of converting to full-time employment, students in their eighth semester will complete an internship with industry for a duration of 4-6 months. Both the students and the industry benefit from this.
Placement Experience
I haven't researched much about that, not so worried as I'm not expecting a job. Students get eligible from their 3rd year. Some of the more famous companies visiting include Dell, Adobe, and Amazon. 90 percent get placed (won't be much accurate). After getting a degree, I wanna continue with my ventures and maybe do an MBA after 2 years of getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The recent fee hike has been approximately 10 percent. Scholarship is generally provided to the lower income strata and also student doing exceptionally well in the course exams (a pretty high cgpa) At an average, a stipend of 10,000 is provided to the college students getting the opportunities.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty cool, with the beautiful architecture. Oneiros being the annual fest hosts around 15000 students (conducted in January this year). Some cool tech and design books aren't available at the college library. Classrooms have decent amenities (but expect a digital board). I'm not into sports, so can't give input.
Admission
I secured a seat through the MET entrance test. The registration was pretty easy. We can apply through their official site. The improvement I expect is maybe an increase in the ratio of students admitted through MET.
