Shri Shikshayatan comes under Calcuta University which conducts 1 semester exam in 6 months. And Shri sikshayatan conducts 1 internal exam in 6 months. The paper is moderate but you will have to study. I choose bcom hons as I want to go for MBA in the future. The course duration is 3 years. Th faculty members are good and experienced.

Internships Opportunities

I am in 1st year so no internships are offered by my college for now. But I'm the second year they provide internships. They offer good internships but later on. They offer many other additional skills to learn.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies from 25 thousand to 35 thousand. Few scholarships are there provided by the government of west Bengal. Our college provides internships and also different courses from where we can learn additional skills.

Campus Life

We had shree arounh the business fest this year and also the annual fest sree which took place during November and April. There are lots of journals and books available in the library. There are lots of clubs like debating, dancing, drama, and student council as well.

Admission

I didn't give any entrance exam as such. When I applied for bcom hons course I'm Shri sikshayatan the cut-off was 80%+ and I scored 96.4% in my higher secondary so I got selected. No interviews were conducted.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
