An Awesome Experience which enhanced both my knowledge and personality.

My overall experience was excellent as it transformed me completely.It changed my perspective towards life as my college experienced made me more focussed,diligent,hardworking.It opened new opportunities for me to set up my career.

I gave IPU CET MCA exam which landed me in JIMS, ROHINI SEC-5 college according to the rank (652) which i have got in the exam.There was a list of college names of GGSIPU which i filled according to my priority and after the exam results, top most college in the list according to my rank and priority is given to me.There was no interview process involved.I wanted to become a Software Developer that is why i chose MCA as a course in the college.

MCA course was very well designed.It combines both theoritical and practical knowledge in balanced proportion.Practical learning is gained in labs which took place 3 times a week. There was a subject General Proficiency in which you need to write research papers in the later stages of the course.In the final year i had to elect subjects.I chose Multimedia as the elective subject as i had interest in it.

College provided an internship in the company which i was selected.The experience was great.The average stipend amount was 15000 per month.

Placement scenario was excellent.Around 80% were placed.Major companies includes Indus Valley Partners, Nagarro ,To the New, NIIT Technologies etc.The average package was 3.5 lacs per annum.

Annually Technical, Cultural were organized in the campus.Technical fests were amazing as they tested the technical knowledge of students and provided prizes to the winners.Cultural Fests were organized at a big level.Many famous personalities were invited.

Fee structure was ok as GGSIPU colleges generally has the fees of over 1 lac per annum for MCA courses. I paid around 1 lac four thousand per annum as my college fees.

Scholarship was not provided by the college.Loan and such stuff i dont know as i didnt need.

There were many extracurricular activities which includes Talent Hunt,Mr and Miss Freshers, Photography competitions etc.Facilities were very good.

I wasn't residing in hostel.Hostel rooms was not there for the boys.PGs were available near to the college and they were good.

Alumini network was very helpful.College provided us a platform for student alumini interaction which helped us to discuss queries with alumini.

Exams and Labs were very frequent which made me feel tired at the end of the day.But, looking in the past i think it was needed to improve my knowledge and made a base for my career.

The most important thing for a student in any college is education, this is what students look for.I had the best experience with faculty members.They were very experienced,professional in their respective streams.Most of the faculty members had above 10 years of experience.They were very interactive, they asked me if i was understanding topics or not.I asked the same question many times of a complex topic, they didn't hesitate to tell me everytime.The best part of the college was the faculty members.Their methodology was conventional yet magnificent.
