Entrance Preview
I got admitted through Management quota. They said if we have more than 90% in PCM, I just needed to give a simple test. I gave the test, passed it and got admitted.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well curriculum is what designed by the State. If college had to be just about students trying to score the highest, yes it is a great college.But the fact is being jailed in an environment of books and studies and ranks and attendance, is not what makes a college gain respect.
Internships Opportunities
No companies came. No stipends offered. Most of the certificates shown by students were fake. Not because they didn't wanna do some training, rather because they didn't have any options. I did a genuine one, and I'm happy about that.
Placement Experience
For IT n CS it's good as compared to other state level colleges. For other branches, luck and other entrance exams is all they have.The biggest recruiter is Infosys.The average package of all companies is around 3lpa.
College Events
Good technical and cultural events organised.The only thing is lots of paper work before approvals.Majority of the attendees are either the organizers or participants. No viewers as such.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Kind of expensive.Hostel fees around 65kAcademic fees around 1lac.Varies according to which branch n year you are in.The city is cheap to live in, coz it has not much to go for.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is offered by the State to either the underprivileged ones or the merit holders.No loan facilities I'm aware of.
Campus Life
Campus life is better than the other similar colleges or say state colleges.Gender ratios is like usual. 1:20 in ME. 1:3 in others.Several cultural and technical societies for each branch with good status is active throughout the year.No intolerance issues as mostly all students belong to the same state. Now n then a bit of fight unrelated to any creed is common.
Hostel Facilities
The first year hostel is one of the best architectures around. Awesome place to be. It has all double sharing rooms.The rest of the hostels are also good, worth fine food and food facilities.Facilities include shared bathrooms, canteens, water coolers, an
Alumni/Alumna
College goes to great lengths to improve interaction. The only way it discourages interaction is through ragging.Seniors and alumni are all cool top talk to.
Exam Structure
Exams are serious and unavoidable.Though mostly one two night studies suffices, yet college tries to make a big event out of it.
Faculty
Faculty is sincere in terms of attendance and assignments. Knowledge-wise they are all old school.Comparatively in ME, the faculties are more chilled down with mass bunks ;)
