Course Curriculum Overview

It is very difficult to pass college exams as it comes under calcutta university whose exams are very tough. I had chosen this course because I am a CMA aspirant so the BCom course will be helpful for me in aspiring that. The faculties are helpful.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't get any jobs or anything but sometimes college provides internships opportunity with the big four companies. Fees structure is 25k per semester which is quite good for any good reputation college. I got no scholarships. But there are government scholarships based on family income.

Campus Life

We have many curriculum activities which include dancing, singing, sports, swimming, etc. Our college is filled with activities. We have a big library which has multiple types of books helpful for us. We have AC in our classroom which is very good during summer.

Admission

The admission process is very easy. You get everything on their site. The eligibility criteria are 70% and above in the 12th board exam. And rest details will be available on the college-prescribed site. Application dates will only be given by the college.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

When canteen closed, the city opened up.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
