Oxford college of engineering was good in all prospects except sports and placements. I feel joining with government seat is best , giving such a huge amount and with no job is very disappointing.
Entrance Preview
CET entrance exam and my PUC results. Got a govt seat in mechanical engineering, was interested in practical machinery. Interview was good, had few odd questions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course should have been revised, exams were unpredictable out of curriculum sometimes. Project work was left on our shoulders with out any guidance from lecturers. Practicals were delayed and was being done at the end of semester.
Internships Opportunities
It was a new establishment, Being mechanical student we could never get into that stream. We planned for further studies, I took marine engineering.
Placement Experience
No Job opportunity now due to newly upcoming colleges and increase in capacity intake of colleges, jobs have become little scarce and companies are taking advantage
College Events
Hardly we celebrated any events as management was not ready to spend anything . We had once celebrated annual meet and that went very pale. May be now it has improved over a period.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Oxford college of engineering was not asking for any extra perks from government seat holders. They barely charged about 2500 rupees extra and govt fees of about 39000 rupees. Only during exams I have paid to VTU. For other students they use to have a different fee structure going up to 5lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fees was just 39000 rupees, I took loan from SBI for 3 years and most of all banks give education loan based on your performance in your pre-university exams. Which I had good results, so got a education loan without any hassle.

I am not hostel person no knowledge for this one
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah college has the allumi network , for me because of the nature of my job unfortunately I could not be a part of it. Yeah , due to social network we friends to chat and sometimes meet. We had no seniors , all were our juniors.
Exam Structure
Exams were conducted strictly as per VTU guidelines and there was no malpractice. Poor students were not counselled for exams, I thought they should be explained about their preparation for exams and future prospect.
Faculty
Some were normal and few were below normal, just done with BE. Sometimes we felt lecturer was just one of us. They should at least complete their Ms or Mtech to hold courses for Be students.
