Nirma University Review

I have an interest in computer science and I love programming so I choose the CSE branch in Gujarat, I found that Nirma University is one of the best colleges in Gujarat. However I applied to the DAIICT also but unfortunately, I didn't select there, but I selected Nirma University. In Nirma University specifically in CSE branch there are enough faculty of the various subjects. the faculty student ratio is approximately 1:60, All the faculties education is above Masters and most of them have done their Phd, their teaching method is mostly same as the other faculties , the use slides for teaching. talking about term exams , we have term exams in the gap of around 1 or 1.5 monts gap.exams are moderate to pass, any student have decent preparation can pass these test easily.

There is on-campus and off-campus internship opportunities available at my college, and because of the strong alumni network, students can get references easily. On the off-campus many companies like Google offer around 77K stipend to one of the students. also, some companies visit our campus for internships with decent stipends.

in the 5th semester, students become eligible for internship and after the 7th semester, they are eligible to sit in the campus placement. University provides decent placement to the students. Various companies visited campus for the placement and they give offers to 5 to 10 students, like Media.net, Deutsche Bank, Northan Trust, etc. The highest placement they offer last year was around 88LPA with an average of 10LPA in the CSE department. around 85 to 95 % of students get the placements. my plan after my degree is to take the placement offer and work as a software developer.

The college fees for one semester are around 94000 including exam fees and other additional fees. If the student wishes to live in the university hostel, the university provides a hostel facility. Hostel fees vary according to the facility but we can consider an average of 100000 per year for hostel expanses. University may increase fees by 10% but they didn't do it during my semesters. University Provide scolership and financial assistance. in the university scholership they provide two catagory-I and catagory-II scholarship. category-I is marit based. merit is decided on the bases of Jee and acpc result(separately as per your admission category). top 5 student got 1 lac per annum, next 20 students ger 90K per year , and 50K per annum is given to next 25 students. category-II is marit-cum-means , in which merit is created on the bases of annual income and performance in board or jee mains. 90K/year for first 25 students, next 25 students get 50K and next 25 students will get 25K per year.

The campus life at the university is amazing. there are many active clubs in the university. There are many events organized in our university of various types like cultural, educational, hackathons, and research-based. there is a huge library and reading room for all the institutes and all kinds of books are present there. the classrooms of the CSE department is very modern with audio, and video facility and with central ac. there are many sports competitions organized from time to time in each sport. Of the various clubs present in the university, I choose to go to the CodeAdda programming club of the University. in that club, students try to aware juniors of competitive programming. we constantly pushed cp culture at nirma university, and in our batches cp culture is the highest among all colleges of Gujarat.

I applied through the Nirma University website on the basis of Jee Mains. I got 97.6 percentile in mains with the rank of AIR 22918.in April-2021 As soon as jee mains' results were announced I applied for the B.Tech in CSE branch from the university's website. in the admission process, I have a campus rank of around 300. unfortunately, I was rejected in the first two rounds of admission. However due to the cancellation of the admission by other students, some vacancies opened up, the university called me for admission and I accepted admission and paid fees.
