Sanket Sathiya's Review On Government Medical College, Bhavnagar

I have both feelings for my college- love and hate. No campus,no cultural activities no sports ground, no festival arrangements. Very disappointed by taking this college for my mbbs career. But educational qualities are good.

I have given the exam ofGHSEB and GUJCETexam for the admission. It is the state board exam through which i have taken the admission.

The course structure is good enough to get theory knowledge as well as practical. but honestly it is not quite good for the research purposes because there is very few students who are enthusiastic and actually knows how to do research in this course of medical science. But at the other hand the faculties are absolutely knowledgeable to teach us as well as their techniques are also good for teaching.

I am still studying.

There are post graduation seats available after the graduation but not all students can grab it and so many of them have to choose the job at private trusts and hospitals unlikingly but mbbs doctor has good enough ability to earn money.

Talking about the festivals in our college i m very disappointed through out my college life. This college have very few festivals for enjoyment like navaratra, annual week and sports week , and obviously national republic day as well as freedom day. No other festivals are arranged in this college.

The hostels are the best in this government college. I am a local boy here but as i know about our hostels, almost all facilities are provided but talking about the food and taste quality it is average. The hostel rooms are big enough like our average bedrooms. New structure as well as elevator is also available. the fees are very reasonable.

I really don't know about the scholarships availed for other than s.c. and s.t. students in our college and also about the loans.

There is no campus of our college i don't know how this college has permitted without having a real campus. There is the only campus of government hospital and the college is out of the campus like 300-400 miters away from it there is no sports gruond and very few games are played like wallyball , cricket and table-tennis. No other game is played there are no cultural groups like other colleges and no student related cultural activities.But there is one good activity at evry morning bicycling by professors hod's and students for health purpose. Only one thing, that is good in this college is a/c reading room with fully adequate lightening. No gender bias no racism the political part is unrevealed in our college.

I haven't interacted with alumni association much so don't know about it. but the internet information shows me that is very very good. The seniors are the most important part of our college and also in my life. They all are very nice and helping in nature. They are very freindly with juniors and i am also a senior so helpimg my juiors.I have very good experiences with my seniors. Raging is baned in our college.
