Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose to pursue BTech in computer science at IGDTUW for several reasons. Apart from the outstanding placement stats, the all-girls environment certainly gives a boost to your confidence and empowerment. The student-faculty ratio in this College is favorable which means I get more personalized attention and guidance from the professors. Also, senior juniors have a very healthy relationship which benefits both the parties equally. Exams were held timely in all semesters. A general pattern for a 6month sem would be- mid term in 3rd month, practicals and end sems in 5th month, then a 3-4week break for internships and industrial training.

Internships Opportunities

5

Google STEP- for 2nd-year students. Stipend- 1.2lpm, From 3rd year and above I've listed the top intern roles with a stipend from our college. Uber- 1.6lpm, Microsoft- 1.25lpm, Rippling company - 1lpm, Cisco- 87k, American Express - 85k, Samsung - 50k.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements are amazing here with 100% placements for BTech. Highest ctc- 55lpa, average ctc- 20lpa. Students are eligible for on-campus placements for internships from the 4th sem and for jobs from the 6-7th sem. Big companies FAANG, Uber, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Salesforce, etc visit for on-campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fees are one of the lowest compared to other good government colleges. It's affordable. Also, there are many scholarships and stipends on the basis of merit mentioned on the official website- igdtuw.ac.in

Campus Life

5

Annual cultural fest- Taarangana. It is usually in March/April. One of the well-known fests among Delhi colleges. Great artists, great events, and lots of fun and friendships. Technical fest- Innerve. Many interesting events and competitions are held usually around Sept/Oct. Sports fest- Ignite (Feb). Around 20-25 colleges across India participate in different games like badminton, cricket, basketball, etc.

Admission

For taking admission to IGDTUW, you need to clear JEE with a fair rank. JAC (admission council) Delhi releases online forms soon after the JEE results are out for all these colleges together- NSUT, IGDTUW, DTU, IIIT, and DSEU. You can find the form and other notices on the official website of JAC Delhi Everyone needs to pay a non-refundable amount of Rs. 1500 to appear for counseling. It takes place in 2 phases first is the allotment of seats. If you are allotted a seat then you need to appear physically for document verification. IGDTUW has 85% of seats reserved for Delhi students.

Other Applied Colleges

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

I feel like as a girl student being in a branch of engineering with predominantly more boys.. there's not much scope of growth as compared to being in an all girls environment

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
